The player began their playthrough proper by moving up through the pillar room and to the first puzzle, when they encountered their first Flier, who looked more red, because Underfell, but also with more forced-looking aggression. They tried using Comfort ACT, narration saying "You tried to comfort Flier, but he became more aggressive." changing Flier's face into even more aggressive one, and equally as aggressive attacks, which the player avoided. They then used the Criticize ACT, which seemed to be working, with narration in the box saying "You told Flier killing is bad. He seems surprised." and Flier responding "You think so?". The player Criticized again, making Flier regret him being so aggressive, and allowed himself to be spared, which the player did. They then solved the puzzle and moved forward, to where Dalv first showed up. His monologue stayed the same, but not his reaction to Clover. When Dalv spotted them, he attacked them, with his mini-fight being just 5 turns long of him attacking and nothing working. After the 5th attack, he asked Clover to leave him alone and left. During the fight, the player noticed Dalv had dust on his cloak, for some reason. They then proceeded to fight Penilla, immediately trying to use Distract ACT, which made Penilla furiously yell "I HAVEN'T FINISHED YET!". During her next attack, a green piece of paper appeared, which the player collected, and checked ACT menu to see Compliment ACT highlighted in Yellow. They used it, with narration saying "You give a genuine positive opinion on Penilla's drawing." and making Penilla spareable. They used the SAVE point to heal and, well, save the game, as they were about to enter their biggest challenge yet: Corn Maze.
In the Corn Maze, they not only got a lot of encounters, but also met a new enemy, Sweet Corn, which didn't seem to change much. And yes, the whole challenge was a lot of encounters, since they left the room with about 3 HP left. They spotted Dalv yet again, and his dialogue still didn't change much. They solved the "puzzle" in this room and encountered Rorrim. This time, they had to use both Smile and Adjust ACTs to satisfy him and make him stop being so rude about Clover's appearance. They saved again, but noticed Flowey mentioning something important. "Howdy!" He said. "Just to let you know, not all monsters are sane enough to listen to reason. Sometimes, if you want to be merciful to them, you need to wait until they are tired. In fact, you sometimes need to bore them with ACTing to make them tired at all. Decided to notify you just in case you will need it.". The player then went through the Decibat fight Bridge, and got ambushed by Decibat. When they saw him, the player thought of a theory and decided to Check him to see if it was right. "Decibat - 10 ATK 10 DEF Kills in name of silence.". Yes it was, Decibat didn't look more aggressive and had what seems to be dust on him for no reason. Decibat's attacks all looked more powerful (like soundwaves being faster and them being more of them, a pseudo-laser(?) of sorts), despite them still being easy. The player tried Watch ACT, with narrator saying "You watched Decibat in silence. Nothing happened.", and they realized they will need to survive until Decibat gets tired. They constantly tried Watch ACT, but it didn't seem to work, and after 10 turns, Decibat fell on the ground, tired, spareable. The played spared him and saved their progress once more, with Flowey congratulating them on winning and using his advice.
The player then moved forward and encountered Crispy Scroll, who, again, didn't seem much different, expect needing one extra Transform ACT to spare. After that, they solved the puzzle and moved forward to the fake wall room and dark room, after which Decibat bridge and pre-Dalv boss fight room, where Dalv asked Clover to leave in more threatening way. The player saved, gathered some items, and did the Micro Froggit quest, with Micro Froggit not changing pretty much at all. They got the Golden Pear and moved to Dalv's fight.
Before the fight, Dalv remarks on the fact he threatened Clover with last warning not too long ago, yet they still followed him, so he came to conclusion words aren't enough, and that he needed to get rid of them by force, beginning the boss fight. The player decided to just spare Dalv constantly until they get a chance to show him mercy. Dalv's attacks were more hostile, in many ways (like being longer, having higher speed, sometimes having additional feature to them, like homing lighting attack hitting battle box border and splitting into small thunderballs) and his dialogue being more aggressive, like he became more insane when he moved to Dark Ruins. He even implied he doesn't let anyone near him, explaining the dust on his cloak. Though, he did eventually realized Clover is not the same human he encountered. "Wait a second..." he said. "You aren't the same human I knew, right? No, they would be dead by now, wouldn't they?" the player then used Talk ACT two times, and then Handshake ACT, sparing Dalv. "I'm... sorry for attacking you. That human I met... I secluded myself here, and went insane because of them." Dalv explains. "You look a lot like them... Well, I might let you look around my house for a bit before you go. What's your name? ...Clover? An okay name, for an okay human." and left. The player followed him to his house, which, while it had same layout, had few differences, most notably drawing being more random, seemingly just made when Dalv was bored and didn't know what else he could do. They checked everything, and headed out of Dalv's house, with Dalv saying he might actually come out of Dark Ruins since he felt ready to give Underground another go. In Snowdin, Flowey congratulated Clover on leaving Dark Ruins, admitting he feared that they would die to Dalv, and that he's happy it turned out to be false. "Untrue." the player thought. "I died once." and saved their progress before taking a short break.
To be continued.
