The Song of Mira Seasinger

Authors Note

          Usually, I myself rarely read these, but there's a bit of terminology that's particular to the story, so I advise reading this so you won't be in the middle of the story wondering "Wait a minute, what the heck is *insert random term*?" So here's some terms you might see in the story, and what the term means.

Sea Kingdom ===> In this world, there are Five Kingdoms: Sun, Sand, Sky, Snow, and Sea.

Tether Ceremony ===> The Tether Ceremony is a yearly tradition across the 5 Kingdoms. It's this big get-together in all the villages of the 5 Kingdoms in which one person from each kingdom is selected to be Tethered.

Tethering ===> When a person is tethered, basically they're supposed to fulfill a goal that's holding them back from achieving their full/true potential. Once tethered, the person meets up with other Tethers who all set out on an epic quest to fulfill their destiny. (But it's kinda supposed to be impossible, nobody has ever broken their tether before, and since the tether is kinda attached to the person's heart, if they give up on their tether they end up dying. Fun!)

The Bright Pink Ship the Tethers sail on ===> Now, I know what you might be thinking. "WHAT?! When does this come in?!?!" And to answer that question, it's mentioned at the end of her backstory. The reason it's bright pink is because one of the previous Tethers, this anthropomorphic puppy named Booker (who is an absolute sweetheart-cinnamon roll, btw) decided to make it pink.

Charybdis ===> Basically their version of Hell

Incase you guys are wondering what people look like, I'll try to draw them and put it up here. It takes me a little while to draw things, so I might upload like, once a week. Currently working on a portrait of Mira and her family for chapter 1 (the portrait is of them when she's 4). I plan on drawing a picture of Mira in her two forms and using that for the cover, so don't be surprised when it changes all of a sudden.
