Don't Freak Out

I was hugging my bear, staring at what looked to be a walking shadow. He was pooring himself a cup of coffee while humming a low pitched song I couldn't make out. I couldn't move, I was so terrified he'd hear me. Where was my mom, maybe she could tell the shadow to leave.
He didn't walk, he floated across the kitchen floor. I got low to the ground as quietly as I could to see if he had feet. I only saw darkness though. It was so overwhelming I wanted to cry. He seemed to finally notice me.
"Don't freak out," he said while pouring another cup of coffee. "I'm not here to hurt you." I felt the tears fall down my cheeks but I made no sound. He bent down to my level and pulled down the darkness from his face. I then realized he was in a robe made of shadow. Underneath he looked to be a young boy maybe my age.
He had ghostly black hair and his skin seemed pale. His eyes were a soft blue. Looking into them, it was almost like being in a warm playground suddenly my fear vanished.
"Who are you?" I asked in a whisper. He smiled and tilted his head in a funny way. He wasn't tall and scary like he was a second ago. He was now small like me. He looked down at my bear and let out a silent giggle.
" I like your bear! I have one the looks like a skeleton! Do you want to play together? We can play with our bears at my home," he giggled. I wasn't afraid of him anymore. He felt like a long lost friend. I nodded and he reached out his hand to grab mine. "I'm Reaper by the way! What's your name?"
I grabbed his hand while saying, "I'm Izzy!" He giggled again and suddenly I felt very light. Almost like I could fly. Reaper smiled at me while pointing down at the ground. I followed his point and discovered I was flying. We were still in my kitchen but I hadn't noticed my mom before. She was holding me crying. Was I sleeping? There was coffee spilt all over the ground and a red liquid surrounding me and my mom.
"Do you remember what happened Izzy?" Reaper asked while gripping my hand slightly tighter. I wasn't sure what he meant at first, but I noticed my bear on the counter and cupboards opened slightly to make stairs.
"I wanted my bear. Mom put my bear on the counter by her coffee. I really wanted my bear," I say while hugging it in my arms.
"You fell Izzy. The spilt hot coffee hurt you and you fell off the counter, but it's ok. I'm hear to help you get better," Reaper said smiling. "Now come on, let's go play!" I giggled and followed him up into the air. I felt safe with him. Maybe we could be friends.
