☆Aubrey's POV☆

As I was starring out of my window and into the house next door the shirtless guy looked at me. I quickly ducked and when I did I slipped. I chuckled at myself.

"Aubrey, come downstairs!"

"Coming!"

After going downstairs I tried to find mom. After looking for a few minutes I found her in the kitchen.

"Yes mother dearest?" I said amused.

"Help me cook dinner, your father invited the family next door over for dinner. They have a son your age." Mom said.

"WHAT. We just got here." I was stunned. Why would dad invite the people next door over for dinner when we literally just got here.

"Please darling, I'll do anything. We can go shopping tomorrow if you'd like." Mom pleaded.

I thought for a moment, I could use some new summer clothes.

"Yes mom."

"Thank you so much baby girl."

"Yeah yeah. What do you need help with?" I asked.

She pointed to the fridge. I opened it and to my surprise the fridge was already stocked with foods.

"I need the grind meat, eggs, and the jars of pasta sauce."

Yum. Moms spaghetti and meat balls are the best. I gather everything and put it on the counter. I then go and grab the noodles, bread crumbs, and seasonings out of the cabinets. Then we get to work.

○An hour later○

"We need to make something for dessert." I tell mom.

"Uhm, what about some cherry or chocolate pie. We can make both and they can choose which one they want with a scoop of ice cream." Mom says. I nod in agreement and we make the cherry and chocolate pies.

Everything is ready, the table is set and the food is in bowls in the middle of the table. Now I have to go get ready. I go in my room and rummage through my suit cases since I haven't unpacked. I settled for a white flowy sundress with gold flats and a gold belt. I then grab my make up bag and touch up my eye liner and I curl parts of my hair. Perfect I think to myself.

I go downstairs and see everyone in the kitchen so I go as well.

Once I walk into the kitchen I spot shirtless guy. I'm frozen.

Micha quickly comes to my rescue.

"Aubrey, come sit."

I go and sit right next to Micha which just so happens to be right across from shirtless guy.

Great.

Me and Micha start talking about football. Yes, I'm a girl. But I love football. We start talking about LSU and Mississippi states game.

"I dont know what Les Miles was thinking. He should of did a fake punt." I say.

"What? No way"

Me and Micha turn our heads forward to see where the voice came from. It was shirtless guy.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I over heard y'all talking about the LSU vs Hail state game. And I totally agree with uhm, what's your name?"

"Aubrey"

"I agree with Aubrey. By the way my name is Dakota."

"I'm Micah." Micah introduces.

Mom interrupts us and tells us to eat, so we ate our dinner then dessert.

After we ate mom suggested for us kids to go out in the backyard and get to know each other. So here we are. Micah, Ainsley, me, Dakota, Alex, Ashleigh, and Zech. All sitting at one of the tables.

Oh yeah, Dakota and Ashleigh are twins and Zech is their little brother. Alex is Dakota's best friend and he practically lives with them.

"So...." Alex says.

"Where are y'all from" Ashleigh says.

"Louisiana" Ainsley responds. Gosh I love my little sister.

"So are all girls as beautiful as you in Louisiana?" Alex says.

"Yo, dude. That's my sister. Dont hit on her in front of me." Micah says.

"Where you saying that to me?" I say.

"Uhm, yeah. I thought it was obvious...." Alex says.

"Ohh...uh thanks Alex." I say.

Alex is really attractive. But Dakota looks way better then Alex. And before you ask, no I didn't blush.

"Yeah you are beautiful Aubrey." Ashleigh says.

"Thank you guys." I say.

"You're beautiful Ashleigh." Micah says.

Ashleigh instantly blushes. Oh, I feel a love connection. Micah and Ashleigh goes into the garden. Ainsley and Zech go play on the swing, and being a big kid so does Alex. So that leaves just me and shirtless guy, aka Dakota.
GREAT. Not.

"So...." I try to make conversation.

Dakota looks at me and just stares.

"You have beautiful eyes Aubrey. And Alex is right, you're beautiful and gorgeous." He says.

I instantly blush. Great.....

"Thanks."

"You're not so bad yourself." I say. He laughs.

He lifts his shirt and says "pshh, I know I'm sexy." I laugh.

"I like your laugh, its cute." Dakota says.

"Thanks, you too."

"So is this where I get your number and a goodnight kiss?" Dakota says.

I stare at him shocked.....

Oh my gosh! You guys. I finally updated. And I'm pretty proud of this chapter. So now that I have the book going I will start writing more. I hope everyone is having a great summer.
