Dear Ama,

I hope you are doing well. This is my sixteenth letter this week. I know. It is my sincere wish that you are not yet tired of my letters. You see, in my last letter (which was the one about how to comb your hair properly, if you remember), I forgot to tell you all about what to do in our current situation. We all know that the power crisis which began months ago, is showing little signs of improvement. I just want to lend a helping hand. Im sure you already know that, a child on top of a tree cannot see what an adult under the tree can see.
Dont forget what I tell you. In this current power crisis situation we find ourselves in, it is important to make sure all our clothes are ironed. When going to visit a friend, it might help to take a few clothes along to be ironed, just in case her lights are on, and your lights go off in your absence. Please let your friends iron at your place when their electricity supply is off and yours is on. One good turn deserves another you know.

And please dont forget to always keep your phone fully charged at all times. It shouldnt be too difficult to get a phone charger for your phone everywhere you go. After all, your phone is quite common. Dont spare other people's powerbanks, especially when they have electricity. But I dont think you will need a powerbank for yourself. Who will charge it? I wonder.
Keep your phone charged and call me everytime it rains. Im concerned.

As for television, you cannot watch it all the time nowadays. Keep your radio handy. You can always listen to the news. The radio stations are really doing a good job these days. Tell me the names of your favourite TV series so that I can buy the CDs. Then, you can watch it on portable DVD.

The issue of food, is one of great concern. It is very sad that your refrigerator has been damaged due to the power crisis. Not to worry. I will be bringing you food everyday. Be careful not to store anything. I dont want you getting food poisoning. Never mind that I have to travel 20 km to get food to you. I will do it. Stay warm, and dont let mosquitoes bite you.

Love,
Mama Grace
