Sparked Interest [Episode 4 (Part 1)]

As they are eating their breakfast the sound of an announcement is heard,

"Starting from today, the two Infernos will merge"

"What?!" Y/n exclaims in shock, "I guess we'll be meeting some new people today" remarks Jinseok, in such a nonchalant manner. "That excited to ditch me?" she questions, chuckling he replies, "over the moon in fact, best news I've heard in the last couple of days,"

".....They give me a newly-wed couple vibe, or a married couple that have been together for ages, vibe..." Kyuhyun commented

"I guess, this is it, why do I feel like they gave us the sadder Inferno, this place seems almost as good as paradise" Y/n says sighing as if she'd been betrayed. Walking in they see a table full of familiar and unfamiliar faces. Minyoung sees Jinseok and smiles brightly at him, and he returns the gesture. Excitedly Y/n sits next to Hyeseon while Jinseok sits at the end of the table.

*Private interviews*

"....Y/n definitely caught my attention, her personality seems so sociable and genuine.." Habin says

"....Honestly, I can't say I'm attracted to anyone that much yet, maybe Jinseok as I know him better, but I don't like going from first impressions when it comes to this stuff...." Explains Y/n

*cut cameras*

They all introduce themselves and get to know each other better. After getting herself caught in Gwanhee and Hyeseons reunion,she moves to sit next to Hajeong and strikes up a conversation with her, "Did you go to paradise with someone Hajeong-ssi?" she asks curiously. "Yes I did, with the guy sitting right across from me," Hajeong replies dryly, "oh...it's okay! You still have quite a few days to win him over!" Y/n encourages, trying to lighten the mood. "Apart from Jinseok, anyone else you got your eye on?" Hajeong questions "hmmmm, I'm not sure, right now, I'm willing to give anyone a shot,"

"....Y/n-ssi sounds so optimistic..." Jinkyung mentions

"Like she has no worries in the world, whoever said she was sociable wasn't wrong.." Dahee adds

"....In her introduction she did say she was a naturally friendly and flirty person, so let's hope some of the guys don't take her good nature the wrong way.." Kyuhyun says

"....She's going to end up playing a lot of guys without realising," Dex chuckles

After they all get to know each other a bit better and exchange experiences at Paradise and announcement comes through the speakers,

"...Now you'll play a couples game to win a chance to have a special meal,"

Gasps and sounds of excitement are heard

"...Please change into your swimsuits and meet on the beach.."

"..oh..couples games?" remarks Hanhae

"...Time to win over some hearts" Dex comments

Once at the beach, the girls wait for the guys to appear. "Ohh!!" Hajeong squeals, "oh, I shouldn't be doing this.." she then adds regaining her composure. Shirtless men make their way down to the beach and gasps are heard all around. Soon after it is announced that they will draw coloured balls, and matching colours will be coupled up.

When it's Y/n turn, she draws a pink coloured ball, nods and goes to stand in the line. Less than 2 minutes later Minkyu also draws the pink balls, and goes to stand next to her. A cheery smile adorns her face and he smiles back at her happily.

"...oh..does Minkyu-ssi have feelings for her.." Dex questions

"...so we can't smile at people without having feelings for them anymore?" Retorts Dahee, looking Dex up and down

Once all the pairs have been decided an announcement says that the males will be carrying the girls while doing squats, and the winning couple will get lobster and beer. "We got this!!" Y/n exclaims enthusiastically, nodding and smiling at Y/n, Minkyu adds, "Yes, let's do our best!"

As the challenge begins, the competition is fierce but the pair are determined to win. "Good job, you got this." y/n says encouragingly. One by the couples dropout and soon Jinseok and Minyoung are the only couple against them. "Come on Minkyu-ssi, only one more pair left," Y/n persists. Both couples have done over one hundred, before Jinseok finally says he's done. "Yay!! Good Job Minkyu-ssi!!" Y/n cheers, adding "lobster and beer here I come!". "You too, Y/n-ssi" Minkyu mentions, "Don't be so humble" she remarks as they make their way to their lunch date.

*Private interviews*

"....the game definitely made me see Y/n in a new light. I was so sure about Gyuri, but maybe I'll give her a shot. She seems so caring and has a bright personality..." Minkyu explains

*Question to Jinseok* Do you feel jealous that Y/n was with another guy, and won?*

"...Uhm, if I say no, that would be a lie, but at least I got coupled with Minyoung so we can talk on a one-on-one date.." Jinseok answers

"....Minkyu, is a really nice guy, he seems genuine and caring, hopefully during this date I can get to know him better.." Y/n remarks, smiling almost in a cheeky way

"...Oh.. what was the expression Y/n-ssi?" Dex queries.

"It's her look, Hajeong has her chin moves, Y/n's got her expressions." Hanhae answers, making them all laugh.

"Oh my gosh..Woah, it looks so good." She wows, eyes wide open in awe. A platter of lobster and various vegetables were in the middle of the table with multiple different dips and sauces surrounding it. Off to the side an ice bucket was filled with bottles and cans of beer.

After sitting down, Minkyu opens a bottle of beer and hands it to her, "thank you!!" she says enthusiastically, smiling lightly at him. While they are enjoying their lunch Minkyu starts a conversation, "Y/n, anyone in particular you have your eye on?"
