I had slept late and woke up too early. Theo was on my carpet laying on his stomach, on his phone.

'What's the time.' I rubbed my eyes.

He looked up blankly, '5:36. Wow, you're up really early.'

'So are you.' I retorted, but it was no surprise. Theo always woke up early, he was magical that way.

'You know me.' He looked back down at his phone.

Theodore always woke up early. It was like magic. I could never/

As I thought about this I sat up and felt sick. I have school today. I groan and hit myself on the arm.

Theo's blond messy hair is even more of a mess now. As I peered over him, I saw that he was messaging someone. Who would be crazy enough to message him at 5AM in the morning, I wondered.

'Who're you messaging?' Curiosity is one of my flaws.

'Someone.'

I scoff, 'this someone must love you a lot to be up at 5:30 texting you.'

He turned to me, 'you think?'

Taken aback I stood still, 'Oh, it's someone you like.' I smirk.

He glared, 'No! I'm just asking.'

'Is it a girl?' I grin.

'No.' He said slowly.

'Oh. do you even know his sexuality? Do I know him?' I questioned, squinting at his reaction.

'Yes, no.

I frowned then grinned, 'oh. Well show me a pic of him-'

'Don't you have school?' He interrupted.

I immediately stopped smiling, 'Thanks so much for the reminder, Theo.'

At this he laughed, 'That's what I'm here for.'

I scowled and stalked towards my bathroom, not forgetting to kick him before walking in and closing the door behind me.

When I got out again Theo had already left, probably down at the training center. I pulled away my silk black curtains and looked out the window. I didn't love waking up early but the darkness and icy air did hold some excitement. So did the pattering rain.

It was too early to change but I brought my uniform out. A white blouse, -woah that was a lot of buttons-, a dark blue bow, pleated, checked black and blue skirt. That was the worst description ever.

It was pretty, but it was rather a handful. I lay it out on my bed and then got startled by a knock on my bedroom door. I ran through all the possibilities of who it could be in my head. No servant or maid would be up this early knocking in my door, as they knew my sleeping habits. If it were Theo he wouldn't even knock. My other friends were never up this early either. I contemplated whether to open the door myself or just tell them to come in.

'Come in.' I finally decided.

Surprise coursed through me as my father walked in. I forced a careful blank expression on my face.
