It's just an apology. I know it is but I was just simple to irritated and tired to deal with apologizing to some girl. Also apologizing was just never something I did, I'd never had to apologize for much, and though I was taught to respect I'd never exactly had to.
Alessandra. That was her name, it was not rare for someone to play an instrument in this school, it being prestigious and having some of the richest students in just about the whole country, but I'd never heard anyone play as beautifully as she did. I hate her. She'd made the piece into the most graceful and elegant solo. Her last look at me annoyed me to no end.
As I walked back to class after the bell had rang signaling the end of break, I caught a glimpse of her dark hair as she walked into her classroom with Jessica. Great, I'd met her for twenty minutes and she's already made such an impression that I could recognize her from her hair.
Asher stands outside the grade 10 class talking to some girl.
'Hey.' I say tiredly, walking past him into the class and back to my seat. He strode in a few minutes later when the teacher came.
'Dude, you look like you died then crawled out of your grave.'
'school is just tiring.' I groan and he snickers. 'Go back to your seat dumbass.'
'Yeah, yeah.'
I pretty much slept through half the class before I woke and tried to concentrate. Finally the class finished and there was a moment of chattering before everyone filed out towards the chemistry lab for our science class. As I followed the other students along with my friends I looked around the corridor boredly. Finally making up my mind I tapped Dmitri and pointed towards the always empty practice room where I always stayed at when I bunked. He shrugged and nodded at the approaching lab, I just nodded and slipped into the practice room.
It's small, with barely anything except a few chairs and a dusty cupboard with nothing in it. The light was extremely dim.
Nothing happened for a while as sat on one of the chairs staring into space. When I heard the click the door opening, I turned, a string of colorful words pouring out.
My eyes met dark brown ones, bold and striking. They stared.
'You.' Alessandra's voice echoed with accusation.
'Me.' I sat back and said easily.
'What are you even doing here.' She was absolutely still, glaring at me from across the room.
I shrugged nonchalantly, 'I really could ask the same for you.'
Her eyes narrowed, 'class was rather... tedious.'
'Exactly.' I lean back and grin, 'still, such an oh so professional and prized student shouldn't really be bunking don't you think?'
'You are insufferable. What I do is none of your business.' Her words cut down like a knife through the air.
'Kinda is since you're here in this room, which is my bunking spot by the way.'
'You don't own it.' She said dully, 'It's a shock really, that this prestigious academy, this very one that has boasted stellar grades and won just about all the awards, has accepted such an arrogant, ignorant person like you.'
