The ninja made their way to City Center, It appeared that the Overlord's powers didn't work on them. On a building, they see the Overlord with golden webs everywhere. "My powers! They aren't working! They won't start coming!"
"Then attack the people" Pythor hissed, Sukina looked at Pythor and the Overlord grimly "Are you crazy?! The people of Ninjago are innocent! they have no-"
"Silence!" The Overlord yelled "I will do what to I must destroy the ninja," He used his powers to push off the place
"We have to save the people!" Lloyd cried "We have to get the Senseis closer!" Kai argued
A familiar voice called out "People of Ninjago, follow me!" they looked down to see the serpentine guiding the people down a manhole. "The snakes are on our side? Great. Now I have seen it all." Jay remarked, "Now the people are safe our main priority is now the Overlord," Anna said, the others nodded and took a fighting stance.
The ninja leaped on the web, but Sukina's attacks forced them to retreat. "We'll never get close enough," Kai states, "We won't need to." Garmadon says then turns to Wu "Ready to thread the needle, brother?". Wu nodded "Let's show them what old timers can do.". Garmadon jumped on a web and Wu followed, his other brother boosted him and then threw the pill, Wu spun his staff like a baseball bat and smacks the pill into the Overlord, The ninja watched suspensefully as the pill aimed for the overlord's mouth, Out of the blue, Pythor jumped and swallowed the pill instead. Borg was right, as soon Pythor reached the ground he shrunk to ant size, "Such a stupid snake" Sukina muttered to herself.
That was it? That was all you've got?!" The Overlord shouts as he shoots his golden tentacles grabbing everyone but Zane,
"Anyone happened to have a backup pill!?" Anna cried while hanged upside down. "That was our only chance," Garmadon said while struggling with the tentacles,
"And our only hope!" Jay cried then added "We're Doomed!!!". "The armor, why isn't it working?" Cole states
"Because your time is over!" the Overlord mocks the tries to grab Zane, "Support me, friends, for one last time." He said softly,
Zane jumped from web to web and took grasp of the overlord's amour " Let... my...friends... go!". The overlord glared at him "Go where, doomed ninja?" he said and half of Zane's face tears off while he's overloading himself with the power
"The Golden Weapons are too powerful for you to behold. Your survival chance is zero!" The overlord yelled
"This isn't about numbers. It's about family" Zane said back, Anna sees the tentacles turn from golden to Green and the ninja are being let go,
"Zane!" Anna yelled as she sees a small blue ball forming in his heart. "He's not letting go!" Lloyd says "His heart! It's reaching critical mass!" Jay cried, "If his heart overloads, he'll blow! He'll never survive!" Cole exclaimed,
"Let go of him, Zane! What is he doing?!"Kai asked, shocked.
"He's protecting us." Wu says
"I am a Nindroid, and ninja never quit. Go, ninja. Go!" Zane shoot his Ice on the Golden Master.
"What are you doing?! Let me go, you fool!" The overlord yells while ice particles fies in the air, Anna grins her teeth and readies her powers, "Im going up there" Wu stops her "You can't....Its too late."
"No, Zane! Nooo!"
"We have to get out of here now!" Wu says, Garmadon opened a manhole and Wu pushes the ninja into it.
Zane closed his eyes and watches flask backs of his life as he closes his eyes.
"Ninja, go!"
"Zane!"
"There's something special about you, Zane."
"I know who I am."
"You were built to protect those who cannot protect themselves."
Watching this he felt no regret. He is Zane Julien, Master of Ice, The white ninja, Made to protect others who cannot protect themselves. He smiles softly as peace flows though his numb body.
