The Contest (natewantstobattle ff)

Chapter 2

-A few weeks later-

I was laying in my bedroom, when my phone notified me of messages on youtube. I pulled myself up to a sitting position as I checked what was going on. I didn't recognize any of the youtube names, but then I saw Nate had posted a new video... and sent me a message.

I had already realized what was going on, the contest all those weeks ago had finally been announced. I won! I still checked out the video before I truly would believe the conclusions I had jumped to. Like why would I have been chosen, but sure enough I was. "I have chosen the winner, and drum roll please," Nate pauses for a minute for suspense in his announcement, "and the winner is Ericatgames!" I paused the video as I sorta blacked out for a moment. It wasn't until my bestfriend, my other neighbor, had ran into my room to check on me, that I realized I was screaming.

"Erica! Why are you screaming!?" Lucy walks towards where I was sitting on my bed. I stop screaming and point my phone towards her, where I had paused with my name on the screen still. She smacks the back of my head lightly and tells me not to scare her like that again before leaving.

My phone chimes again, a new message from YouTube. My friends message me things like, "good job," and, "nice." I finally check Nates message, "Hey, send me your skype and we could totally record whenever you're ready."

I start jumping around like crazy, I was so freaking excited, I held my breath to keep in the new scream forming in my throat. After an eternity and a half of fan girling, I smooth my hair and message him back saying, "sure, here's my skype _______ we can record anytime, I have nothing planned."
