Lemon heard a loud clank from the bullet that was shot- the clank coming from the Sphinx's spear which caused it to stagger and pause on its attack.

Lemon managed to turn her head around to see who fired that shot and, low and behold- it was you! Smirking in confidence.

"You didn't even give my girl a chance in answering.."

You exhaustedly commented on the Sphinx's ill mannerisms, which pissed it off and repeated its question again towards you while preparing for its heavy blow again.

"Four legs in the morning, two in the afternoon, and... three at night."

The Sphinx then targeted the attack towards you- who was sprinting towards Lemon to aid her injury. Lemon looked at you in slow-motion like those cliché romance anime scenes.

"What... is this creature."

"YOUR MOM."

You childishly yelled out an answer while using a spare cloth as a bandage to Lemon's injury, knowing what'd happen since you obviously got the answer wrong- you picked up Lemon in a bridal-style way earning a yelp from her, and tried to zoom past the Sphinx as fast as you can.

The Sphinx was enraged and sent its spear coming down on both you and the still recovering Lemon- but before its spear dealt a blow on you two, you quickly jumped high and shot another bullet at the Sphinx's head causing it to stagger for a few seconds causing Lemon to shriek in fear due to the height and the sound that your gun made.

"AAAAHH!! WHAT IS THAT???"

"Can't... answer.. right now!"

Lemon tried to question on what you shot and on what you were holding onto right now, but you couldn't explain everything on the spot.

Once the Sphinx recovered, it tried dealing a third blow- but was then injured severely on its left cheek by everyone's favourite cream puff lover!

"Such a creature..."

That's right, Mash.

"Can't exist."

The large Sphinx spat out blood and tumbled down much to your surprise since it mostly looked like it was made out of sand and stone.

You set Lemon down after checking if anything else was injured on her body, her still trying to process everything that had happened within the span of 2 minutes.

"Are you feeling alright?"

"Y-yeah..."

She stared longingly into your eyes when you asked if she was alright or not, before shaking her head in embarrassment and voiced out her doubt to the two of you.

"Wh-why did you two bother and come back to save me?

Lemon questioned to the both of you- genuinely wondering why you'd come back to a selfish person like her, you didn't have a proper reason- but then Mash voiced out his reason on doing so which moved Lemon's heart.

"Well- If your reason was similar to mine, I'd kinda feel sorry for you."

Lemon stared at Mash before looking down and remembering that there's a time limit and that it's close to finishing- all due to her.

"But- it looks like we won't make it in time..."

"Pfft- how else did you think me and Mash came here within a second?"
