"the doorbell rang, matt." scar says. "nick'll get it." matt grumbles, his grip around scar's waist tightening. "okay." scar breathes out and she smiles. she kisses matt's head and they close their eyes again. "scar it's for you!" nick sounds vague from the front door. "it's for me." scar whispers. "ignore it. make it seem like you didn't hear it." matt whispers back. "baby." scar says. "be quick." matt lets go and scar stands up. "two minutes." scar says before she leaves matt's room. she walks to the front door to see nick talking to somebody. "nick who is it?" scar asks. "hey scar." joshua smiles. "what are you doing here? why aren't you in miami?" scar asks. "uh I'm gonna— I'm gonna go." nick hurries back to the living room. "I flew out." joshua answers. "why?" scar asks. "because I love you." he says softly. scar was gonna say something until she felt an arm wrap around her neck. "hey babe. nick told me someone was bothering you." matt says and scar looks up. she smiles relieved and he nods.

what you guys didn't know, is that joshua was sweet and caring, but if it didn't go his way, he could be a little... abusive. for example: joshua asked scar on a date, the last day she was in miami, and she said she couldn't since she had to pack for her flight the next day. in which he pushed against a counter hard and she has a bad bruise now but she never told anyone except matt what it was from. and overtime, it got worse. but scar still loved him. you know what I mean, right?

"you haven't met me yet, right?" matt starts. "I'm matt. you must be joshua. lo has told me all about you." matt says. "I think you should leave, joshua." scar says. "this doesn't end here." he says. "is that supposed to be a threat?" scar asks. "it could be." matt shrugs. "go." scar deadpans. with that, joshua leaves. scar closes the door and lets out a relieved sigh. "thank you." she smiles, looking up at matt. "of course. nick came in my room and told me joshua came. after everything you've told me about him I had to come." matt says. "and I'm glad you did." scar smiles.
