The birds were silent that morning for the first time in a long time. The sun barely peeked through the clouds, it was cloudy, but still enough sun to be considered sunny. That morning, both apartments were quiet. Both preparing for what comes for them later, a night raid, a night defense, and a night of torment and death. They packed all of their things, weapons, comms, etc.

Elara and Yor made their way to the fields, 4 others were there, waiting as well. The Shopkeeper walked from over the mound and greeted the 6 of them," I thank you all for coming today, as I've said to you all. This will be the hardest mission you'll ever have, you'll be at the estate from sunrise to sundown. You'll face WISE and their spies, luckily, most aren't equipped with any combat skills. They won't be in the facility, so the numbers will be cut by 1/3. But, 2/3 of the spies will still be in the building with you. Be careful, expect injuries or casualties between the 6 of you. Make your way to the Desmond estate immediately, except for you, Thorn Queen. You stay for a little longer."

The assassins walked back to their vehicles," I'm gonna wait for you in the car." Elara walked back to her car, Yor stood in front of The Shopkeeper," Your personal feelings won't mess with the mission, right?" " Pardon?" " Twilight? Loid?" Yor slumped a small bit," No, ma'am. I'm here doing a mission." The Shopkeeper nodded," Remember your oath." Yor nodded and preformed a small bow.

Yor turned and made her way to Elara's car, she sat down and Elara started the car," You ready?" Elara nodded," Ready to get back home."

Spies, all formed into columns of 3, 10 in each column, 3 columns in total. Loid stood at attention, waiting. The breeze was the only sound breaking the silence, multiple handlers came on the small stage in front of everyone. The rest sat except for The Handler, once she took the stage, the tension grew.

She rolled up her cuffs and placed them on the podium," This mission is our crusade, our crusade against eternal violence. Every person here has seen the horrors of the war, and everyone here has a chance to stop that eternal cycle. Kill or capture our target, doesn't matter, all that does is that you are able to finish this mission. Some of you will die, but you won't die in vain. You will die for peace between our two countries. After you bring peace to our countries, you may be given the right to settle down where ever you feel to, whether that be somewhere in these two nation, or somewhere else. The columns you are in will be where you will find your partners, you may choose whoever you want. Work with no one, work with your entire column, doesn't matter. Choose who you want to work with, then at 8:00 PM we will assault the compound. Godspeed, and may whoever you believe in guide you."

The columns broke formation and had people finding their partners, some working by themselves and some in groups. Loid walked around until he felt a hand touch his shoulder, it was Nightfall. He nodded," I'm guessing you want to work together?" Nightfall nodded back without saying anything, Loid saw Dawn and the two shook hands," It's nice to work with you again Dawn." Dawn smiled," Of course, same with Nightfall back there." Nightfall glared at Dawn, he smiled back," From what I remember, you were quite unprofessional. Can't say it's nice seeing you again."

Dawn sighed," Classic, you're always such a stick in the mud. Cheer up, at least act like Twilight. Professional at work and unprofessional outside of it." Nightfall shrugged and turned," I'll see you two tonight, I'll tell you where to meet up at." Loid nodded and turned to Dawn," When did you work with Nightfall?" " It was when you were off doing your own mission. We got paired up for an out of country mission, let's just say, she didn't appreciate my energy."

Loid sighed and shook his head," I don't think a lot of the spies here appreciate your energy, you act like you're still in the military." Dawn sighed," They just don't know how to have a good time, anyways, I'll see you tonight. We just have to wait until Nightfall says anything." Dawn walked off, and left Loid to himself. Loid sighed and grabbed his suitcase, he walked over to his car and sat down. He laid the suitcase down on the passenger seat and opened it, he pulled out a picture of Yor," Good luck to the both of us, we're gonna need it."
