Hello peoples!

So: I got all of your feedback from the poll I posted in here a while ago and I think I've come to a conclusion. I will be hosting a mini one shot writing contest as well as an open fanart gallery!

The fanart part will not be a contest, just an option if anyone wants to submit something and have their art featured in Love and Tradition. The writing contest, however, will be a contest but I don't want to make this something overly competitive and critical, so I encourage you to just have fun with it! Here is some information about the contest:

I'm calling this Stories and Tales and if you can't tell, I was originally going to have a book solely for this but I decided against it xD But if you wanna enjoy the cover I made for it anyway, it's up there for viewing pleasure haha Anyway, this is sorta besides the point. Let's get to the important info.

DETAILS:

This competition is a one shot and/or short story writing competition based off of the Austoraverse. In these stories, you are allowed to include any of the characters, settings, and situations from Austora, Ethira, and Love and Tradition.

RULES:

1. You must have read at least Austora to join the competition (I don't require that you've read Ethira but it is recommended xD)

2. Your entry must be at least 500 words long but has no maximum word limit

3. When submitting your work, post it in a book on here and tag me or email it to me at mreedwrites@gmail.com so that I can read it!

4. All submissions are due February 21st at 10 pm CST. However, if you need an extra day or two, just talk to me and explain the situation and I'll try to be gracious :D

5. I don't believe any of y'all would but I'm going to include this just in case: please keep your content clean! That means nothing beyond kissing, no swear words, and not LGBTQ+

6. You are allowed up to two entries, but you don't have to do two if you don't want to (just know that if you submit two, I won't have the same person win both first and second; your works at that point will be considered one and you will receive just one prize :))

7. This isn't so much as a rule but just something to keep in mind: I have a lot of one shot ideas already planned out so that means we might have similar or clashing ideas with these characters or story lines. Even though this contest is taking place, I'm still going to try and write those so please don't think I'm stealing your idea if they are similar! I promise I will not steal any of your work.

Bonus: This is not a rule, but simply a suggestion - get super creative with these! You are not bound by any of my characters or situations. AUs, OCs, new settings, etc are allowed as long as they have connection to the universe!

PRIZES:

I will have a first and second place prize. Both first and second place will receive their work featured in Love and Tradition with a shout out there and on my message board.

Additionally, first place will get a sticker and/or certificate (whichever they prefer) as well as one of the following of their choice: a book cover, aesthetic, banner, or any graphic designed by me; a writing bounce buddy (which just means I can help you with your ideas for your story and just sort of be your helping hand for however long you need me xD); or an exclusive sneak peek at my upcoming story. I'll follow with this, I'm not a professional writer or graphic designer so don't think I'm putting this on here because I believe I'm all that and a bag of chips xD I just know that sometimes having someone to help you out in both writing and graphic areas can be both fun and really beneficial!
