One/two/three Shots

Laya: I can't

"Lucas, I can't!!"

"Maya please, I love you not Riley. I wanna be with you."

"I wanna be with you too but Riley loves you. I can't break her heart."

"Please Maya."

"I'm sorry but I can't."

"I love you."

"What?"

"I said I love you Maya and if that doesn't change your mind I don't know what will."

"Lucas..."

"Maya if you're just going to turn me down again then save it. I don't need your pity."

"I love you too."

"What?"

"I said I love you too and Riley shouldn't come between our happiness."

"Oh Maya you have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear you say that."

Lucas walks over to Maya and engulfs her in a hug. They pull apart so their foreheads are touching. Then Lucas whispers two words.

"Kiss me."

"What?"

"I said kiss me and if you don't soon, I'm gonna go crazy Hart."

Maya and Lucas lean in and kiss. It's the most magical kiss they've ever had. It's almost to good to be true.

"Maya?!? Lucas?!?"

They pull apart and see a quirky brunette about to cry.

"Riley."

She turns around and runs. She runs as far and fast her legs can carry her. The blond with bouncing curls runs after leaving the cowboy standing in shock.

The blond finally catches up to the brunette.

"Riley! Riley stop! Let me explain!"

The brunette stops abruptly.

"Why should I let you?! Why?! You were kissing the guy I love. There's not much more to explain Maya."

"Yes there is. I'm sorry Riley but Lucas doesn't love you the way you love him. He loves me an... and I love him and I'm not afraid to say it."

*scoffs* "Unbelievable. How do you expect me to believe that?! You didn't show any signs of interest and now all of a sudden you do?! Gosh."

"Well it's true Riley. I love Maya more than anything on this earth and you need to learn to be okay with that."

*sighs* "Maya you really love him, you're not just doing this to make me mad?"

Maya shakes her head. "No Riley I would never do that. I love you too much."

"Okay. It'll take some time but I'll get used to 'this'." she says gesturing towards Maya and Lucas.

Maya hugs Riley.

"Oh thank you so much!!!! I love you."

"No problem. Whatever makes you guys happy. I'll leave you alone now."

Riley walks away. Maya puts her arms around Lucas's shoulders. He puts his hands on her waist and says.

"Now where were we."

"We were doing this."

They lean in and kiss. This time with more passion and less guilt. They pull apart.

"Maya will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes!"
