So this chapter isn't that good. Experiencing writers block. But I need this chapter out so I can focus on next.
**************
The two sat and watched Tom and Jerry for a little while, well Meredith more so than Addison. That was until Addison noticed her little one shifting every so often. She assumed that she needed a change."Sweetheart do you need a change?'', she asked even though she knew the answer.
The blonde didn't answer, too wrapped up in her show. Addison pulled back the little ones sweatpants and confirmed that the girl did in fact need a change. She grabbed a diaper and some wet wipes she keeps in her purse. She laid Meredith on the couch and pulled down the girls sweatpants. Meredith didn't appreciate her showtime being interrupted by having to be changed.
"Noooo'', the blonde whined dramatically and lightly kicked her legs.
"Mer you have to be still so I can change you", she says as she stills kicking legs.
When she saw the girls eyes get teary she decided to tickle her sides. Meredith laughed wildly as she tried to squirm away from the dancing fingers that made paths along her ribs. Addison stopped after a bit to let the blonde catch her breath. Taking advantage of the moment she swiftly undid the diaper, rolled it up to throw away, and wiped the girl down. Meredith whined at the coldness of the wipe but overall did nothing. Addison fastened a new diaper to the girls waist and redressed her. She got up to throw the diaper away and washed her hands.
"See that wasn't so bad now was it?", she says as she comes back from the kitchen.
When she gets to the couch she sees that Meredith has turned over onto her stomach with her bottom in the air, thumb in her mouth, fast asleep. 'That girl love her sleep', she thought. Addison leaves her be. She'll let her sleep for a bit so she won't be cranky for dinner. Which reminds her she still has to call Bailey and Webber. She grabs her phone and makes the call.
"Hello Miranda, I was wondering if you and Richard would come have dinner with me and Meredith?", she started suddenly nervous.
"Montgomery what's going on?", firmly asked the short woman.
"Well, me and Meredith wanted to let you know of an arrangement we both have"
"Addison what you two do in the bedroom is none of my business", Miranda adamantly states.
"Miranda! That's not what this is about! It's more about Meredith", the redhead says with a blush.
"Lord, what has she done now"
" Nothing, it's just this is really important that you two come and well... see for yourself"
"Ok Addison, I'll relay this to the chief", said Miranda withabit of concern.
"Thank you, and we're having lasagna", Addison says with relief.
"Alright we'll be there around 6:30, we both have one more surgery that shouldn't take long"
"Noted, bye Miranda"
"Back at ya Montgomery", she says before hanging up.
Addison checked the time and saw she had a little over 3 hours until then. She decided to get started on prepping dinner. She placed some pillows on the floor in front of the couch in case Meredith rolled in her sleep. Heading to the kitchen, she started gathering ingredients to make homemade lasagna and a nice side salad. Through preparation she kept an ear out for Meredith.
Once the food is in the oven, she decides to go wake the little one. She went and sat on the couch next to the snoozing blonde and rubbed her back. It took a bit, but blue eyes fluttered open. She rolled over and rubbed her eyes with closed fists and smiled when she realized it was her Mama.
