Chapter 1

Did a bit of editing for these chapters but still mostly the same.

Addison and Meredith have been together for awhile now and all has been fantastic. Meredith is still her dark and twisty self but with Addison, she has never felt better than before. Addison, even though she tried to hate the blonde, has nothing but great love and affection for her. Although all has been well so far, Addison has noticed that her girlfriend has been plagued with nightmares that have left her inconsolable at times

Addison was spending the night at Merediths, as they do all the time now. She barely spends any time at the Archfield.

They had taken a bath together and went to bed after. It was 3 am when Addison was awoken to thrashing and crying from the other side of the bed. Addison rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, and looked over to Meredith who was thrashing in her sleep and crying tears of what seemed like pain and fear.

"Meredith", said Addison as she reached out to touch Meredith. As soon as she touched Meredith's shoulder, the blonde let out a loud sob that startled the redhead.

"NOOOOO" shouted the still asleep blonde.

Though a bit rattled by the sudden reaction Addison had to act fast to wake the blonde up from whatever horrible nightmare that she was experiencing.

"Meredith! Meredith baby it's ok please wake up!" Addison said as she gently,but at the same time firmly, shook the blonde to wake her up.

After one last heart wrenching cry from Meredith, her eyes snapped open big and wide with a wild look in her eyes. After looking around and realizing she's safe and at home with Addison she broke down, crawled into the redheads lap and started sobbing.

"Shhhh you're okay. It was just a bad dream. You're okay baby"

Meredith tucked her face into Addison's neck and tried to calm down. Addison leaned back a little to see Meredith's face. She cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears with her thumbs. Addisons green eyes looked over the blondes face before settling on her blue eyes. What she saw in them though was the most precious thing ever.

Meredith was looking at her with an almost infantile look she had ever seen.

"Meredith, are you okay?" asked Addison

Meredith didn't say anything. She was still sniffling. Meredith reached up with her hand and touched the redheads face with an intrigued look in her eye. She ran her finger across Addisons nose up to her eyelids then back to her nose. 

Addison sat there and let her, wondering more and more about the blonde sitting in her lap.

Once Meredith once grew bored she let out a big yawn and tucked her face back into Addisons neck.

"Ready to go back to sleep sweetheart?" asked Addison.

The response she got was little snores from Meredith, so she laid them both down with the blonde still laying on top of her. She covered them both with the blanket and settled. 

Seeing as it's early in the morning(also Saturday) and they both had the weekend off from the hospital, she decided they both could do with sleeping in tomorrow.

Before she drifted off to sleep there was some movement from Meredith. Addison shushed her and watched as the blonde moved a hand up and stuck her thumb in her mouth. The sucking motion calmed Meredith and she settled down in the redheads arms.

Addison awed quietly to not wake the blonde and thought 'We'll talk tomorrow'. She might have an idea on how to ease the blondes constant sorrows. But that talk could go one of two ways.

Being the runner that she is, Meredith might avoid it all together and pretend to be fine or open up to the redhead. Ever since they started dating she's been opening up more to Addison, though she still avoids problems every now and then.

With one last look at the peaceful blonde Addison drifted off to sleep aswell.
