Arlene continued her play but then noticed that something was off for the temperature around her suddenly dropped and goosebumps appeared on her arms.

She gasped and turned to face the doorway; casually leaning against the doorframe was a man who looked like her father but his glowing red eyes confused her. "Who are you?" she spoke in a trembling voice trying to be brave. The stranger just smirked before walking into her room.

"Look I don't know who you are but you have to leave before Caroline comes back and reports you to my Papa," she threatened with a slight hiss in her tone. He reached down and grabbed her by the hair causing her to cry out in pain.

"After all these years," he muttered quietly pulling her closer to him, "I was certain you were dead, but here you are alive and breathing." "Please sir," Arlene whimpered, "You are hurting me."

The man did eventually let go of her hair and slowly circled her like a predator studying her with those scary eyes.

Suddenly he pressed his hand against her chest were her heart was racing and he smiled wickedly. "Ah another powerful being just like your mother," he exclaimed, "though there is more of me in you."

Arlene backed away from this creepy guy and clenched her fists allowing the green magic to swirl around each wrist.

"My mother?" she questioned, "What do you know of my mother?" He didn't replied and continued taking in her little form like he was trying to memorize every feature.

Unexpectedly an angry looking woman bragged in completely aflame and Arlene shrieked in fear when she saw the lady's fiery eyes.

The blond suddenly calmed down and her face paled when she made eye contact with Arlene. No longer was she ablaze and the green eyes appeared with the look of surprise written across her face.

"Ah perfect timing," the man exclaimed, "Serena met Arlene your daughter who you thought was dead."
'WHAT!?!' Both girls stared at each other in shock and Arlene saw the black strings around her mother's wrists. "Mom?" she whispered as tears slowly worked their way down her face, "Is it really you?"

Serena stared at the raven hair child in shock and tears also dripped down her face. "My child, my baby," she cried and flung her arms around Arlene, "Oh my precious girl, I thought you were dead." She held onto her daughter tightly afraid that she would wake up but it wasn't a dream and she wept with joy.

"How touching," the beast sneered, "Mother and daughter finally reunited." Serena glared at the dark lord in fury and held Arlene close to her bosom protectively.

The mother bear within her was awakened and she growled a warning to the monster. "You will not touch my daughter," she spat.

The evil man sighed and said something that made her very upset. "Are you forgetting something, puppet?" he smirked knowing that this will piss her off, "Arlene is our daughter."

"Arlene's father is not a monster like you," she argued not wanting to agree with him even though deep down she knew he was right.

Her daughter looked at her with beautiful emerald green eyes that reminded her of her husband who is at home trying to find a way to her.

She smiled and kisses Arlene's forehead. "You father will rescue us," she whispered in a calming tone and the girl nodded.

The god of mischief growled and made a "come here" motion to Serena. She cried in alarm when the black strings dragged her away from her daughter and back to the wicked king.
He grabbed her chin piercing her skin with his nails and forced her to look into the horrible eyes. "Don't forget your place, puppet," he reminded her while his other hand caressed her face causing her to shudder in disgust, "You and our sweet daughter will go back up into the palace. Your glass prison awaits."

Fire sprang into her eyes once again as she glared daggers at him. "It seems I need to break you into submission," he snarled and the strings tightened around her wrists making her cry out in pain.

Swiftly he grabbed Arlene by the wrist and dragged both her and Serena back into the palace throne room kicking and screaming.

Once they were near the glass cases he released Serena and threw her back into the prison. The monster raised his hand and green magic wrapped around the glass. "Try to escape now, my pet," he sneered and focused his attention on her daughter.

The real Loki glared at his daughter who was trembling in fear. "Now what to do with you?" he muttered under his breath.

He grinned wickedly when an idea came into his mind and he looked over at Serena who had a murderous look in her eyes. Such beautiful fury and what glorious fire of hatred in that heart, he mused in his head.

"Puppet, I will give you a choice," he paused and watches as curiosity appeared in her eyes, "Be my queen and rule by my side or witness our beloved daughter's death and this time it won't be fake."

He smirked when he heard Serena's gasp and it thrilled him to see the horror filled her eyes distinguishing the flames. The trickster could literally see the war going on inside that fragile mind and chuckled knowing that he won this round.

Quickly he pulled Arlene close and pressed his dagger against her throat. The child struggled against him that made the dagger cut into her soft skin and she whimpered in fear.

"Well, puppet, make your decision," he commanded with a victorious smile that distorted his face, "Quick! I don't have all day." He allowed the dagger to dig a little deeper into Arlene's neck causing a trickle of blood to spill down.

The blonde's eyes widen and her mouth opened in terror. Time felt like it froze and the next words that Serena declares will change her life forever.
