Zenna slowly opened her eyes, hearing some shuffling around in the room. She reached for her gun up until she noticed it was Han and put it back. "You know I don't like waking up by myself," she mumbled tiredly, holding herself up on one arm. Han smiled, turning around as he used a towel to dry his hair. Usually Zenna would scold him for not using a hair dryer but she was too tired for that. "I know. I thought I could pick you up some food. Worked up quite an appetite last night."
Zenna smiles into the pillow, the memories of last night still fresh in her mind. "Yeah, I guess we did. What are the plans for today?" She asked, subtly wanting to know if he had any pickups today. "Well, I'm gonna drop by the school, pick up the kid, make some deliveries, have him pay off his debt. Then I'm gonna drop by to see DK, make sure he doesn't know anything." Han shrugs, tugging a shirt over his head.
"He's just gonna wonder why you're late on payment. We can't keep doing this, babe." Zenna said with a knowing look. She sat up and he tossed her one of his shirts to wear. "I know, Z. But you know how it is. It's how people roll down here." He said. "Yeah well, I'm tired of it. I'm tired of this. When we moved here, it was supposed to be a fresh start for us. We said we would leave this life. Giselle didn't sacrifice her life for us just so we could put it in danger, again." Zenna stood up, pulling on some sweatpants as she spoke.
Han sighs, this wasn't the first time Zenna went off to him about this. He knew she was right, but this life wasn't easy to leave. "I know, Z. But it's not that easy with our past. Babe, you said it yourself. This is who we are."
"You don't think I know that? Why do you think we came here, Han? Cause nobody knows us, they don't know who we are, that's the point. Tokyo is our Mexico, babe. It's our escape. But right now, it doesn't feel like that. It feels more like a prison." Zenna ran a hand over her hair tiredly, shaking her head, talking wasn't gonna get them anywhere. "I'm done, Han. You have one year, and we wrap this up shit with DK. We owe this to Giselle. We owe it to Suki. We deserve to be free. Promise me, Han. Promise that we'll be free?"
