Just like Shrek but instead of Shrek wishing back for his old life it was wolf who makes the wish.
After Long-settled into married life and a steady job as an FBI, wolf (Sam Rockwell) starts to miss days when he felt like a bad guy.
Rumpelstiltskin...
Saturday: no work just hanging out at the dinner with snake, they were having lunch.
"So I was thinking-" but as snake was drinking his coffee when he noticed wolf was distracted.
"Hey, you ok buddy, you seem kind of off recently"
He sighs and puts his cup down, "not really snake"
"What's up" he asked.
"I been thinking feeling out of it you know, I'm starting to miss our old life when we used to feared, we would take whatever we want, live the life of luxury and no one would stop us, we were the criminals of our pass time but now...it seems like everyday I'm being reminded of what I used to have, I even missed it"
"It almost sounds like you're saying this is princess fault"
"Whoa, hey, it's not"
"Good because if it weren't for her, we wouldn't been here today I love that life we have, we treated right, we have a daughter to rasure do she won't be like her estranged deranged father and try to cheer up it's our birthday after all and she wants to see her new dad smiling...think about it wolf" he leaves
Later through the whole day wolf was walking wolf when suddenly he sees a speeding car follow by a police chase, then an escalating series of mishaps leaves: crooks getting arrest but they were getting the joy of it, two more robbing shops, robbers stealing from an art gallery gets stopped, wolf was get anxiety about how he missed it all the thrill of the hunt, how he was good at being a criminal, how great his old life was.
He approached the house and inside the bad guys and their parents, professor marmalade and Diane and her parents were celebrating princess's birthday.
They saw him, he looked distraught, "you ok buddy" snake asked.
"Daddy" she ran and hugged him, but he doesn't hug her back, she noticed him upset and she gives him her toy.

He takes it and puts it in his pocket, he sits down as everyone gathered to sing happy birthday to snake and princess.
But wolf, when he saw them, he didn't even joined he just heads outside to go for a walk.
Later, as rain clouds were appearing, wolf was walking alone in the forest, stewing about everything.
"I just wish things could go back as the way they were, before I met princess I was happy and now-" He then heard a voice from the distance.
"Help, please! Someone, anyone at all, help me! Please, help!"
He headed over to see who it was, and in the middle of the forest, the cries of help or so wolf believes came from Rumpelstiltskin, whose legs were underneath his carriage, making it appear as his carriage was broken down on top of him.
"Please, help! I'm stuck! Help! Oh, please, help! Someone, anyone! Help me! The pain!"
Curious wolf went over and used his strength to lift up the carriage.
