Part 4- Presence

2 months later

"Oh god y/n you never know how to get on time do you, Ughh and the traffic for God sake!" Y/n was now frustrated from being waiting in the traffic for too long, having an important meeting at the company, which she can't be late to.

Y/n is now working at her Dad's company, Lee corporation & Ltd., after her father told her that she have to now start taking care of his businesses, even though she was against the idea, she didn't wanted to work for any other company either, so she accepted on the condition that she will be working as an employee at Seoul branch, because she couldn't imagine herself working under her father in Busan.

"Where are you y/n?" Lia, her colleague called her upon not seeing her.

"Ten minutes Li, I am stuck in traffic, how many more minutes can I get before he comes?"

"He is on the way from airport, you got half an hour before he shows his ass here"

Y/n chuckled, "okok I am coming, bye"

Parking her car, y/n was now running towards the building, luckily she was on time, else she couldn't imagine what would have happened, well we are talking about her CEO, that old ass men gets on her nerves every single time, not knowing she is the only daughter of the chairman, well she wanted it that way, because she was never used to the unwanted attention she gets from others over things like this.

"Wow, y'all let's talk about some perfect timing, shall we?" Luke clapped his hands sarcastically, looking at y/n who was now rolling her eyes at him.

"He is here"

"Good morning Mr Hwang" y/n greeted the old man, pleasing smile on her face, upon entering the meeting room.

"Good morning"

After the meeting ended everyone started leaving the room except y/n and Mr Hwang.

"What about the portfolio you promised me you will look into 'after thinking about it yourself'  Ms. y/n" He asked her, mocking her words from last week.

"H-huh I-i am not sure Sir, I don't think we need to Collab with Jeon enterprises for that project, when there are other better options out there"

"Other better options? Like what?"

"Kim's or even the famous Paris company 'Lumière Enterprises', with that we can start expanding Seoul branch towards foreign countries too"

"No y/n, that ain't a good step yet, we still need some powerful companies from Korea with us, besides I have already discussed our project portfolio with the Jeons"

"W-whatt...No what do you mean by you already discussed Sir"

"I have talked to the manager, and i think they are content with our proposal, so i am moving on with that."

"B-but-" no this can't be, she didn't think he had be serious with this when he came up the portfolio, Jeons, that name scare her every time, and unknown feeling of agitation, after everything that happened on that day.

Its been two months, Jungkook had never showed himself up in front of her ever since, but that has only made her worry even more. she could never relax and let herself think it wasn't something she didn't had to worry about, and this project, it was a way connecting her to whatever he has to do with, well she may not even have to be soo worried about collabing with jeons, she might not even be seeing him as he isn't an ordinary business man, But nothing can convince her that Jeon Jungkook was just playing around and teasing a girl for fun, coz he wasn't.

"we will have a meeting with them this week, and i want you to modify the portfolio a bit, just add some details here and there, and i want it done by tomorrow, Thursday is the upcoming date we fixed, so start working on it now Ms. Y/n"

"Thursday?? That's like in two days from today" 

"Yes I know, they came up with the date according to their schedule, so cut the whine and get into work"

"Ok Mr Hwang" she let out a frustrated sigh after the old man exited the room.

2 days later

Y/n had done working on the resources for the meeting today with the Jeon enterprise, she tried her maximum to get away from this, but Mr Hwang needed Y/n to present it as she is one skilled employee of the company.

y/n was sitting in the meeting room beside Mr Hwang, who were busy talking with someone, she could feel her nervousness tipping, but she didn't let it out. Just then everyone started getting up from their seats and bowing to the person who just entered the room.

'Jeon Jungkookk!, N-no why is he here, I didn't think we were actually gonna have a meeting with him, what the hell!!'

"Good Morning Mr. Jeon" everyone started wishing him before he positioned himself in the seat, y/n was not daring to look at him, she just wanted to escape into thin air, because she wasn't ready for this encounter.

soon started the meeting, she could feel the gaze of a certain person piercing her soul, but she brushed it, as now it was her time to present the project.

"Ms. Y/n please get into the presentation please" uttered Mr. Hwang signaling her, she nodded her head as she raised herself forward, a sense of unease settled in the pit of her stomach as she stood before him, but brushing away the last bit of discomfort from her face she started, but his invasive stare was stripping away any semblance of comfort or security from her, leaving her exposed and vulnerable.

"But Ms. y/n what do you think is the strategic relevance of this Idea to our overall business objectives?" the familiar voice sneered interrupting her speech to gain her attention towards him.

'ugh why would he interrupt me now' cussing inside her head, she continued keeping a straight glance on her face looking directly at him.

"To enhance our competitive advantage, and align with our long-term vision. By focusing on this project idea, we can tap into the emerging market trends sir"

everyone nodded in approval, an eerie smile on his face as he raised his hands.

"I think i like this proposal of yours Mr Hwang, hope you won't disappoint me with this, else you know the consequences"

"Thank you Mr. Jeon, It would be my pleasure to work with your company, and I wouldn't dare to disappoint you"  

"And your employee is quite a competitive lady, I see" uttered Jungkook, his gaze still lingering on her, his presence intimidating, radiating his usual aura of dominance, as she diverted her gaze away from his.

"Yes of course she is, one of my best employee, But thank you again Mr Jeon" saying this they signed the agreement as he left the room holding a last glance towards Y/n.

"I know you were relieved to not seeing me for over two months princess, but not anymore, seems like you dared to came in front of me this time" Jungkook smirked looking through the glasses of his office seeing a smiling y/n who was now discussing something with his secretary.
