Part 9- Proposal

A week later

Y/n was now at her parents house, as she wanted to stay away from Seoul, more like stay away from him, and Busan was the only safest place she could go, well at least for now

After whatever happened with Luke, she couldn't act herself up and go to work as everyone were mourning for the death of their colleague, she didn't wanted that depressing atmosphere when she herself was a part of his death

Luke wasn't an innocent person either, he was one of the right hand man of Kang ji-hoon, Jungkook came to know about it before he killed him, Luke would have been killed the moment he and his men attacked Kang ji-hoon at the club, if only he didn't leave before Jungkook got there

Luke was also a part of Kang ji-hoon's plan to take down y/n's dad's company so he have been working as an innocent employee for almost an year. He also knew that y/n was the only daughter of Mr Lee so he always had his eyes on her.

Y/n did came to know about his real identity after, as Jungkook explained her everything even though she was in denial.

At Lee's mansion

The enticing aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air as y/n sat at the table, where her parents were already settled as they were enjoying a pleasant family dinner engaged in light conversation.

She was happy to be back with her parents for dinner after a long time.

Y/n never told her parents about Jungkook, as she herself wasn't sure about his intentions towards her.

but suddenly that atmosphere changed when her parents exchanged a knowing glance, before her mother cleared her throat, gaining her attention

"Y/n" her mother began, her voice tinged with a mixture of concern and determination.

"Your father and I have been thinking about your future lately, and we believe it's time to consider marriage."

Y/n's eyes widened in surprise, her fork pausing midway between her plate and mouth, she had always known that the topic of marriage would arise eventually, but she didn't expect it to come up soo abruptly.

"But Mom you know I am not ready yet" 

her voice laced with uncertainty and defiance. It's not that she wasn't ready but more like she wasn't in a circumstances to consider marriage rn, after all the things happening with her life lately

Keeping the fork down, Mr Lee leaned forward, his expression stern 

" You have to get married y/n, its not just about your marriage it's about making our business strong if we have a strong alliance-"

"So is that it? A business? Even my marriage is just a business for you dad?" 

She knows its not the case and her dad loves her, but she was still hurt by her dad's words, maybe she just wanted to be emotional and let her distress out 

she can't go against her dad's decision despite, if he asks her to marry she have to do it with no words said.

"Don't act emotional y/n, I need to make sure both my daughter and the company will have a safe future, and we don't do nothing that will not benefit us in this mafia world, you know it"

Mrs. Lee caressed her hand as she tried to comfort her

"Besides we have already got a nice proposal"

"Yes dear and I think you would love your future husband when you hear who it is"
