AN: There's minor mentions of abuse and beating someone up to get information. It's not explicit, just a couple of sentences about both with mentions of blood. There's a scene about fighting too that I'll put a cut in before and after. Harry also has a panic attack in one of the scenes, and Sirius explains one Harry had at a different time, there's also blood mentioned here as well. This makes it sound like a angst filled story, but it's really cute and sweet.

It felt like seconds for the war to be over compared to how many hours the final battle had lasted.

"Do you yield?" Harry yelled through the silence in the courtyard.

"I yield." A stilted pause before cheers destroyed the quiet shock. Death Eaters dropped their wands and fell to their knees. "You should know, Potter!" Voldemort screamed as the Aurors took him away. "I may yield, but my mission never will. There will be more like me, and you will not be able to stop them all." He cackled in the thick silence his proclamation caused. "Evil will always rise again, and eventually, you will meet your match. I will revel in your defeat as you scream for mercy- for death- at the feet of a dark wizard too strong for you to best." Voldemort left behind a dark silence after the pop of apparition faded. Kingsley walked towards the boundary lines that survived the carnage of the battle.

"Kingsley!"

"Yes, Harry?"

"I want to know what He meant. Immediately."

"I'll get my men working on it. I'll force it out of his throat with Veritaserum, if I have to."

"No stone unturned." Kingsley left, and Harry turned to the castle. "It looks like we have a lot of work to do."

"Harry! Harry, you need to see this!" Bill called, running down the broken steps of the castle. "It isn't good."

"What isn't?"

"Remus too-" Harry sprinted to the Great Hall before Bill could finish his sentence. It's chock-full to the brim when he gets there. "He's with my family." Bill grabbed Harry's arm and dragged him through the mass of people. Remus grimaces in pain when he tries to stand upon seeing Harry.

"I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm fine." Harry dropped to his knees beside the werewolf.

"Remus."

"Poppy took care of it. I'm not going to die. Don't freak out."

"You're in pain!"

"I'm always in pain, cub. It's just a little bit more intense right now, but I am okay. I'm going to be okay." The Weasley family and Hermione spread out to see where they could help once they noticed tears in Harry's eyes.

"What happened?"

"It was a spell."

"Thank you for pointing out the obvious, Professor, but I'm going to need a little bit more detail than that."

"I don't know who it was. It was meant for a fleeing Second Year."

"Remus!"

"No! You don't get to yell at me for this because I know you would've done the same thing in a heartbeat."

"You could've died!"

"And she would have! Poppy told me I saved that girl's life by jumping in front of that spell! She wouldn't have made it."

"And if you hadn't made it? Remus, you have a kid at home, an infant! What if Teddy had to grow up without you? You wouldn't feel so heroic if he ended up in a similar place to me! You would've taken away his only father!"
