Kai and Taehyun planned to make a surprise anniversary dinner for Yeonjun and Beomgyu. They spent weeks and weeks planning, but finally it was their time to show how much they appreciated the other two.

Kai wiped his hands on his apron, glancing at Taehyun who was meticulously setting the table.

"Do you think they'll like it?" he asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

Taehyun nodded, placing the last fork down with a soft clink.

"They're going to love it, Kai. We've got this."

The menu was crafted with all their favorite dishes, the playlist softly humming in the background was a mix of  the neighborhoods greatest hits, and the small apartment was transformed with warm fairy lights and elegant decor.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow through the windows, there was a knock at the door. Kai's heart raced as he went to answer it. Standing there were Beomgyu and Yeonjun, looking as charming as ever. The evening started off wonderfully, laughter and stories filling the air.

But as the main course was served, the atmosphere shifted. Yeonjun's phone buzzed insistently on the table. He tried to ignore it, but the screen lit up with a name that made Beomgyu's smile falter: an ex who had caused tension before.

"Who's that?" Beomgyu asked, his voice tight.

Yeonjun sighed, "It's no one important. Let's not ruin tonight.

"Beomgyu's eyes searched Yeonjun's, looking for reassurance. Kai and Taehyun exchanged worried glances, knowing that trust was delicate, especially on a night that was meant to celebrate love.

The conversation stumbled into an awkward silence. Kai bit his lip, feeling the weight of the evening teetering on the edge of disaster.

It was Taehyun who broke the silence.

"You know, struggles like these... they're just proof that what you have is worth fighting for. You've both been through so much, and it's made your relationship stronger."

Kai nodded in agreement.

"Exactly. And tonight is about celebrating that strength and love you share."

Yeonjun reached for Beomgyu's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"He's right. We've come too far to let anything come between us."

The tension slowly dissipated as understanding and love filled the room once more. The dinner continued. Beomgyu still wanted to know who that person calling yeonjun was, but he shrugged it off not wanting to cause any more tension between the two of them.
