With The Rock showing up on Smackdown after Cody said "I'm coming for you, Roman Reigns, but not at WrestleMania.", my crazy theory would be WWE can have Cody do what Roman Reigns did in 2020.
If you don't remember, a triple threat match is set up for the event "Payback", and the triple threat match is for the WWE Universal Championship between the late Bray Wyatt/The Fiend vs Braun Strowman vs Roman Reigns. Roman didn't sign the contract for the title match until near the end of the match. Long story short, Roman won the title and he hasn't lost his title since. If Cody signed his WrestleMania contract during Roman vs Rock at WM, it would be full circle for Roman from winning and losing the title in the same way he did it when he did it at Payback 2020.
If WWE does plan on having Cody beat Roman, why would Cody said "but not at WrestleMania"? Plus, if Cody announces that he's going for Seth's title on Smackdown, WWE would've have the graphic of Rollins vs Rhodes by now.
I would say that I have mixed feelings about what happened at the end of Smackdown. I would rather have Cody vs Roman at WM XL, but with everything happening at Smackdown especially at the end, that's what I think of what could happen. I might overthink this but that's just me even though I sounded like a fucking mark.
