6. Preparing for the party

You went home, and flopped on your bed. You let out a sigh and stayed in that position a little more before getting up to change your outfit.

You then cleaned up a bit, set up some games , informed Law to bring the needed sake and did your laundry. After that, you decided to work on Kid's arm a bit more until Nami comes.

Knock Knock

"Coming!" you yelled out.

Knock knock knock

"Cominggg. WAIT A BIT WILL YA?" you shouted as you rushed from your workspace. 

"Nami-ya! Should've guessed it was you by the knocking."

"Hehe. Missed me?"

"Pfft. You wish"

"Is this part of your get up?" she asked pointing the goggles which was pushed towards your hair, now serving as a headband.

"I was working. Come in, I'll get you something to drink."

Nami entered, took out the decor she brought and started decorating the living hall. You prepared a glass of lemonade for both of you and the joined her in decorations.

"Is this part neccessary?" you asked pointing the banner's last part- "who always get lost" (Congrats to our champion, Zoro, the swordsman who always get lost)

"Of course it's necessary. I spent hours making the decor banner," Nami retorted back. Your lips let out a small giggle, "Is Nojiko-ya coming?" 

"Nah. She has a camp going on at her school. So she's got a lot of work to do."

"Right. Seems like someone else came," you said as you heard the door bell ringing.

It was food with Sanji and Luffy.

"Where is Freckles and Sabo-ya?"

"They'll come later," Luffy said as he tried to snatch the food packet from Sanji, but was in vain.

"Come in guys. Nami ya's already here."

"Nami-swannn!! I brought your favourites!" Sanji said as he approached Nami, "Don't you look lovely today?" You and Luffy narrowed eyes seeing them.

"Geez guys. Get a room will ya?"

"It's high time you find a boyfriend Y/n." Nami said.

"Oh I am contempt with my single life, Nami ya."

"Should I set you up on a blind date?"

"Hell no. And Sanji ya, if you don't stop fawning over Nami ya and don't take any action, there won't be any food left for the party," You said, pointing Luffy, who already got his hands on the food.

"Crap," Sanji muttered as he picked Luffy, who looked like an innocent puppy, but wasn't any innocent, "You aren't gonna lay a hand on the food before the party starts"

Luffy nodded silently cause his mouth was preoccupied with eating meat.

"How long have you guys been dating?"

"Like 5-6 months. Why did you ask?" Nami asked back.

"Nothing. I had a patient who had a major surgery on the day you guys became a couple. I was just checking when should I pay a visit to her."

"Was the surgery success?"

"Hardly. She needs to have one more surgery to be cured fully. To be precise, a heart transplant."
