8. Peaches and Kitty

"Hello?" you took your phone which had just rang. It's 9 a.m.

"Is it you, peaches?"

"Yeah. What's the matter Kid-ya?" you asked as you let out a yawn. 

"Nothing. When are you coming today?"

"Oh I am not coming today. I am on a leave today." you said as you stood up. (PS: Zoro is still snoring)

"WHAT! YOU AREN'T?" Kid's screams could be heard by everyone in your home.

"Yeah. Marco ya told me to take a day off. I'll work on your hand using that time."

"Oh." there was disappointment in his voice. 

"What? Can't pass a day without seeing me?" you teased as you picked up your toothbrush. You could hear Killer's chuckles. 

"Nothing of that sort. So who will check me today?" Kid asked.

"Leb me tee" you spoke while brushing

"What?" Kid asked, obviously can't understand your language.

You spit the paste and spoke, "I'll check. I'll try to send someone I know very well."  

"Y/N COME HAVE BREAKFAST. SANJI MADE PANCAKES" Ace yelled from the kitchen.

"bongib" you yelled, toothbrush in your mouth.

"Who was that? Your brother?" Kid asked.

"No. It's freckles. That guy who you got jealous of."

"What is he doing at your home?" he asked with jealousy. Killer could sense smoke coming from somewhere.

"We had a party last night at my house you know. So bunch of the guys stayed over."

"GUYS?" he yelled. You were sure the whole city heard him. Bless your and Killer's eardrums.

"For the god's sake Kid ya. Don't try to burst my ear drums through the phone call. And yeah it was all 'guys'"

Kid didn't say anything. You could hear his grunts. You chuckled at his childish behavior. "Well, did you have your breakfast?" you asked as you sat infront of your breakfast. 

"Not yet. Heat went to get something from outside."

"Outside? For the god's sake Kid ya, eat the food that's being provided. You need to maintain a diet while healing." 

"Whatever. I can't function without proper protein." Your rolled your eyes at this.

"Gosh. You are unbelievable. Well, I'll call you later. I need to have breakfast. Bye Kitty."

"See ya later, Peaches." Kid said before hanging up. You put the phone aside and went to eating.

"So who is the lucky man?" Ace asked, putting you in a headlock. "Lucky man? What are you talking about?" 

"The one you were talking with. What is his name?"

"Gosh freckles, it's my patient named Kid. Speaking of which, Law ya can you check on him today? His is in room 305. Ask Camie ya for details."

"Sure."

"And Ace ya, why are you looking like you don't believe me? Stop looking at me narrow eyed."

"I don't believe you, thats why. You don't talk to all patients like that." Ace said eyes narrowing more than ever.

"Whatever. I don't have time to waste by arguing with you. I have lot of things that need to be done today." you said as you finished your breakfast. He rolled his eyes. 

You washed your hands went to your workspace. Your half finished kid's future hand was waiting for you at the table. You sat down in your chair and put on your goggles. Then you began working on the model.

"Y/n? You want lunch?" Zoro asked as he came to your room. "Coming. I am almost finished with this thing."

Zoro walked inside and sat next to you, "You want any help?" he asked. "Yeah. Can you please pass me that screwdriver over there?"

"Here. That's quite a good model you made. How long did this take?"

"1 week." 

"You made a freaking arm that fast?" he asked with a gasp. You nodded, "By the way, don't you have to go for training?".

"Nah. Dad told me  to take a day off. He'll come to pick me up later." Zoro said with a proud grin.

"Hawkey is coming? Great. I wanted to meet him anyways."

"Why for?"

"Just cause I wanted to. Gosh, do I need a reason for meeting up with my best friend?"

"That makes sense. Y/n, did you ever wanted to pursue swordsmanship after that incident?"

Your expression changed. You replied in a low voice, "Of course. But, now I have this and medicine. I am happy with this. Surely you can't have everything you want in your life."

"Mhm. I am sorry for asking it too. My mouth just made it's way out."

"Of course, it doesn't have a sense of direction like you. Can you pass me that box of screw?"

"HEY. Also, should I bring your lunch here?"

"That would be great. Thanks marimo baby."

"Sure. No problem."

Note: 

In this, Mihawk and Shanks are in their 30s (38 & 35). Zoro and Sanji are 19. Ace is 23 while Sabo is 22. Luffy is 16. 

You are best friends with Mihawk, Shanks and Ace. Zoro is your close friend.

You met Mihawk when you were 7 and he was 18. You met Shanks much later.
