We had some new slytherin companions, evenly with every house as always. After the sorting ceremony, Dumbledore made his speech. Dumbledore told us about the tournament and everything, but only after the other two schools sat down. I looked at the schools coldly as they presented themselves to us.
After the sorting, I was met with Luna Lovegood greeting me on the hallway near the great hall.
"Good evening, Eliza." She says politely in her soft voice, making me smile slightly.
"Good evening, Luna." I say smiling as we walk through the corridors and head out to the dark courtyard.

My hair is loose.
"My summer was quite uneventful, but I am delighted to be back at Hogwarts. And how was your summer, Lulu?" I say to her when we reach the courtyard.
"Oh, it was lovely, thank you. I spent much of it in the garden, tending to my plants and reading my books." She tells me as we sit down on a grass patch.
"It sounds like you had a very relaxing summer, Lu. I must say, I admire your love of nature and literature. It is quite admirable." I say to her smiling.
"Oh, thank you so much, Ella. Your words are too kind. I must say, I admire your impeccable manners and sense of style. You are always so well put together." Luna says making me chuckle and grin.
"Oh, you flatter me, Luna. But tell me, what new plants have you added to your garden this year?" I ask her feeling proud of myself.
"Why, I have added several new varieties of flowers, including snapdragons, delphiniums, and larkspur. And I also added a new variety of herbs, including sage and rosemary. I find that tending to my plants is very relaxing and fulfilling." She boasts rather proudly.
"Oh, how marvelous! I must say, you have quite the green thumb. Your garden must be a sight to behold." I admire. "While my summer was not quite as adventurous as yours, I did have a few lovely experiences. I attended a soiree at the Malfoy's manor, which was quite splendid. And I also visited a few art galleries in London, where I saw some marvelous works of art." I tell her to which she smiles as I grin.
"Oh, how marvelous! I must say, you have a wonderful eye for art. Tell me, what was your favorite piece that you saw?" Luna asks me intrigued.
"Oh, there were so many wonderful pieces, but I think my favorite was a painting by Monet. It was quite inspirational." I say thinking back to it. "But Luna! your summer sounds so lovely! I must say, I am quite envious of your ability to relax and enjoy simple pleasures. My summer was quite busy, but I did manage to find some moments of peace." I say happy for her.
"Well, Ella, I believe that even the busiest of people can find moments of stillness and peace, if they look for them." She says happily.
Oh, that's right! Since it's night, their goodbyes might be a bit different. Elizabeth might say, "It was lovely chatting with you, Luna. Have a restful evening and sweet dreams." And Luna might say, "Same to you, Elizabeth. May the moonlight guide your way." Luna said and we went our separate ways to our own dormitories.
"There you are Beth! We were beginning to worry." Pansy said to me and i chuckled.
"Do you think it's funny?" Daphne questions.
"Surely, anyways. I was with Luna talking, now let's head to bed, we have DADA tomorrow first lesson." I remind.
The next day, we first had DADA with Hufflepuff from 9 until 12:30. So at 7 i was in the great hall with the group eating and chatting.

"Let's head to class now." I say as i stand up and head out of the hall with the group since it was 8:45am already. I was walking through the hall, with draco on my side and the rest behind draco and i.
"Hey look! It's the Slytherin gang! Get out of their way." Some second year told a first year. "Look! It's the Slytherin princess and Prince!" A third year told their friends.
Everyone moves away, making a clearing for us to pass. Once we got to the classroom, we sat in two by alphabetical order. Enzo and I. Tracey and Daphne. Draco and Theo. Pansy and Matt. And Blaise would end up sitting with Millicent.
After DADA
"I don't think Professor Moody took a liking to me." Pansy snickered once we left the classroom.
"Same." all of my friends said at the same time and then started to laugh.
"He liked me pretty enough." I say proudly knowing that I got 20 points to our house already.
"Come on now, I've quite grown an appetite!" Enzo whined.
"How? You were basically asleep all class." I say to him teasingly.
"Exactly!" He whined again making some of us roll our eyes.
"I mean, he has a point." Theo says but shuts up when Luna walked past us and greeted me and him.
"Aww look, Mr. Loverboy has grown quiet." Draco teases Theo knowingly.
"Oh looks who's talki—" Theo starts but is interrupted by a slap on the back of his head.
"Shut it Nott." Draco says and i tilt my head in confusion.
