Your name is (Y/N) Li and you are Yi's older sister just 1 year older than her. Your father had just passed away and your weeping mother sobs as Nai Nai comforts her. Yi is at the roof, you wanted to comfort her but you needed some alone time. Your father's loss affected your sister a bit more than you. So you let her have some alone time as well.
You sat on the stairs close to your family's apartment, crying quietly. You wanted someone to comfort you. So you decided to go see your best friend, Jin. Wiping your tears away as you go downstairs but when you were close to his apartment, laughter was heard. You stopped and tiptoed down the stairs to get a closer look.
Down below, you see Jin and a bunch of other kids, laughing and chatting. You stared at Jin, seeing that he looked different. "You're so funny, Jin!" one of the girls says. "Thanks, I know." Jin says, his voice was different too.
You got closer a bit as you continued to listen to the conversation, still no one noticed your presence. "So, uh. Jin," a boy spoke up, catching everyone's -including yours- attention. "Why do you hang out with that girl, (Y/N)? I mean, she's pretty cute and all but she's kind of...strange, know what I mean?"
Your (E/C) eyes widened at the question as they landed on Jin, waiting for his answer. Your eyes held desperation as your heart pumps fast.
Wait, why am I so worried? This is JIN we're talking about! He would never--
"Uh, yeah, I don't know why I hang out with her, either."
The moment those words came out of his mouth was the moment your heart started to break. "What...?" Small tears ran down your cheek but you quickly wiped them away and looked at Jin.
No, he doesn't mean that! Keep yourself together, (Y/N)!
Another girl giggled and clung to Jin's arm. "Yeah, Jin! You should totally ditch her and hang out with us at the mall tomorrow!"
Say no, say no, please say no!
"Um, sure. I guess you're right." The kids smiled as (Y/N)'s heart completely broke. Tears run down your cheeks like a waterfall.
"Jin?" You said, everyone -including Jin- turned to you. Jin's eyes widened in horror and guilt. He saw your heartbroken expression.
"(Y/N)? (Y/N), I..." He started but was interrupted. Your face changed into a hard glare.
"I hate you." You said with hatred. You run up the stairs and go to your room, Tears continue to run down your cheeks. Jin screamed your name but you ignored him.
