THIRD PERSON POV:
In the apartment, Nai Nai and Zhen are in the kitchen, cooking dinner. Zhen then turns to Nai Nai with her hands up as if she was trying to calm down a crying baby. "Don't. I know what you're thinking so just don't say it." She pleaded to Nai Nai. "They're never at home anymore!" Nai Nai complained, turning to her daughter. "Ma" Zhen whined. "That's all I'm going to say. Not another word." Nai Nai confirmed, turning away then turning back to Zhen.

"So that's it? We're just going to give up on them?" Nai Nai asked Zhen as she turned her mom with a stern look. "I never give up on Yi and (Y/N). Look, we both know what they have been going through. They miss their dad, especially (Y/N). She's more close with him than anyone else, even Yi" She says, not noticing her two daughters quietly coming in. Both of them hold their dirty shoes as they tip toe to their room as quiet as possible.

"We all miss him. If we're patient and don't push them then just maybe..." Zhen continued until she was interrupted by the floor creaking. Both Nai Nai and Zhen turn to Yi and (Y/N) as they both hide behind the wall. "Yi? (Y/N)? Is that you? We've been waiting for you to eat." Nai Nai told her granddaughter. "Oh, we...we ate on our way back. So we're all good." Yi reassured her, (Y/N) nodding in agreement. "Either eat here! Or there! But never on the move, that is what I say." Nai Nai told them. "Hey, girls! Why don't we sit down together tonight? as a family." The mom suggested but the word family just made the sisters sigh. "Yeah, family." Yi said with a sorrow frown.

"You girls need to eat. You don't want to be so short like your mother." Nai Nai said, trying to convince them to hopefully eat with them. "We're okay but thank you, Nai Nai!" (Y/N) reassured her grandma as Yi tried to quickly close the door until their mom walked up to them. "Girls, wait. What would you say to play a little violin for us after supper, Yi? and (Y/N), maybe you could play your flute with her. Remember when you both use to--"

"W-we can't" (Y/N) interrupted, her sad frown appearing on her face.

"Can't? Why?" Her mom asked, completely confused as she looked between her daughters. "Uh, because we...w-we sold it" (Y/N) lied, eyes showing guilt when her mom gasped at the sudden news. Zhen felt hurt, not thinking that her own daughters would give away something that reminded them of their dad. "We, uh...we're sorry" Yi apologies, looking down and also feeling guilty about lying to their mom. Zhen opens her mouth to say something but doesn't and leaves. The girls watch her leave and close the door, leaning their back against it as they sigh.

"No..." Yi groaned, (Y/N) putting a comforting hand on her sister's shoulder with a reassuring smile. Yi smiles back as they both go to bed (of course they went for a shower before going to bed).
