You choose to go back to sleep.
You manage to get some shut eye.
You dream a little bit, before being awoken by the sound of a door opening and closing.
You ignore it, and pass it off as being the wind.
Later, you hear the sound of talking outside of the window.

My neighbors must be up. You think, and stretch.

That must've been the best sleep I've had in awhile…God I needed that.

You rub your eyes before looking at your clock.
Your eyes take a bit to focus, and when they do, you can feel a shot of fear run through your mind.
It's 6:30.
You were supposed to be at work thirty minutes ago.
You gasp and dart out of bed.

“Shit!” You shout.

My boss is gonna be pissed!

You rush getting ready, and end up putting your shirt on inside out.
You grunt and adjust it, costing you even more time than you already lost.

You leave in a hurry, closing the door behind you.
You process the sound for a minute, and then go back into the house.
You check the couch, and see that your roommate isn't there.
You then recognize the sound that woke you up earlier.
It was your roommate leaving the house.

You groan, and storm out of the house again.
You rush down the busy street, bumping into civilians as you went.
You suddenly come across a fork in the road.

One is the usual route you take, that passes in front of the church.
The other cuts directly into the graveyard.
While the graveyard option would save you a considerable amount of time, you ran the risk of being seen by the city's undertaker, Macabre.

You shiver at the thought of him, as an encounter with him would most likely include you in the next burial.

Then again, you had to get to work.
And what were the odds of The Tragedy being in the graveyard at this hour?
He surely has other things to do.

So, what will it be?
