I'd gone back to my room to read. Ghostface hadn't called me since then, which was relaxing. The book hadn't disappointed me. It was very interesting and I loved the writing style. I'd have to check out more books by this author. I looked at the clock on my wall to see it was around 12:30. Time for lunch.

I folded up a piece of paper and used it as a makeshift bookmark. I set it in between the pages before closing it. I got out of my bed and shuffled down the stairs and into the kitchen. I made a sandwich and quickly ate it. I'm no top-tier chef, but the sandwich tasted delicious.

Ring! Ring!

I dramatically sighed as I trudged over to the telephone. I took it from the wall and put it to my ear, hoping it was anyone but Ghostface, I'm so done with him.

"I swear to God if—"

"It's Sidney." I was thankful to not hear the voice I'd come to hate, but it was replaced with a different, more annoying, voice. That of my sister.

"Oh. What d'ya want?" I asked with an annoyed tone.

"I needed to grab food for Stu's party. I'm going to the store with Tatum and then hang out with her for a while. She'll drive me there, so you don't need to pick me up. What time will you be at the party?"

"Wait wha—what party?" I felt hurt. Hearing about a party through my sister instead of my boyfriend, especially since he's hosting.

"School was canceled and he said he's having one to celebrate."

"School was canceled?" I was so confused. First off, I randomly get called by the masked killer, then my boyfriend is having a party he didn't tell me about, and now school's canceled? 'What the hell is happening?'

"Yup. That's what I said." Sydney sounded agitated. She never liked talking to me, but I didn't like talking to her either.

"Uh, what time does the party start?"

"I don't know, ask Stu."

"Oh, uh, alright."

"See you there."

"Okay b—"

Click.

Before I could say goodbye, she hung up the phone. The damn hairball hung up on me. I rolled my eyes.

"Could've at least said 'bye'." I grumbled.

"Who was that?"

"Who was that?" A voice behind you spoke. You recognized it but your fight or flight kicked in and you spun around on your heels, your fist swinging at the man.
