I'd been staying over at the Cooper's house for 2 days now. They haven't asked me when I'm leaving, so I'm staying quiet about it, so they don't bring it up. I like being here. It was so homely and cosy, the complete opposite of my home environment. I'm guessing that Mary understood the circumstances and is letting me stay here. She hasn't talked to my mom about being here or anything. And school was the last thing I worried about. Right now, my mom thought I was at East Texas Tech. I'd told her that I was staying there for some time to get my life back on track. Which was obviously not true.

I had spent the weekend with Missy and her friends. Mary had told Sheldon to stay home with me for the week. He protested but agreed at last. So here I am, home alone with Sheldon. I didn't mind being alone with him, at least not at home. If we were out, he would probably start talking about quantum dynamics or a science book he had read. But at home, he was sitting in a gamer position on the floor, playing Super Mario Bros with his flash t-shirt and black sweatpants on and his hair wasn't as neatly sat as it usually was. His tongue was slightly sticking out of his mouth, he was THAT focused.

"You winning?" I said, trying to start a conversation. He nodded. A basic, boring nod. I decided to just stay quiet, I knew that I wasn't gonna get much out of him today.

If you didn't know Sheldon, you wouldn't know that he brought up his high school's score by himself, graduated from high school as valedictorian and started college, both at the age of 11 (and would eventually grow up to win a nobel prize, but he doesn't know that yet).

He looked like a typical teenage boy in my opinion. It was a bit weird to watch. I found myself waiting for him to talk about the Stevenson award he was keen on winning, but he just didn't talk. I didn't know whether to enjoy it or not. I was bored, and I was desperate to talk to somebody.

I couldn't wait until Missy got home.
