Kath's POV
This is it. The day I've been training for. The day I compete in the Vancouver Sun Run. You guys might be wondering what the Vancouver Sun Run is about. (By the way this is a true event here In Vancouver BC. I didn't not make this stuff out.)
Incase you're wondering what the Sun Run is all about well I'll explain.. The Vancouver Sun Run is one of the largest road races in North America. This 10-kilometer road running event is held in Vancouver, British Columbia every year on the third and sometimes the fourth Sunday of April since 1985 and is sponsored by The Vancouver Sun newspaper. (If you want more details then you can google it.)
I'll be honest this is my very first Sun Run I've ever ran.
Oh and I forgot today is April 21st 2013! I have less two months until I have my summer vacation! I can't wait! But right now I need to focus on my run.
While im on my way down at Georgia street my parents are home preparing for church. (Don't worry guys I went to Church yesterday! I need to keep the lord's day holy right?)
Even though it's a bit cloudy I hope it doesnt rain. My mom would always tell me that I should be ready just incase Vancouver's weather changes. My mom has a point though. The weather here in Vancouver is very strange. Last year it snowed in the morning then by afternoon it was raining then after school (around 3pm) it was sunny and this happened during April. Strange right? Oh well I'm use to it and I'm just really hoping it won't rain today.
I got off the Canada line when a guy bumped into me by accident.
"Ouch" I said.
"Miss I'm sorry I didn't see you." the guy helped me up
"Don't worry about it. It's a very busy day here in downtown vancouver and I can see that you're in a rush." I smiled at him. I was hoping that he would leave by then but I guess not.
"Yeah. Do you know what time it is by any chance?" he asked
"It's 8:40am right now."
"Oh shoot I'm late for the attendance. Alright thanks miss! Sorry again!" he waved at me and ran away.
I thought about it for a second cause he had a duffel bag with him. I assumed that he was participating in the Sun Run. I was about to ask him if he wanted to just go with me but he disappeared through the crowd.
Then I remembered I didn't even get a chance to know his name.. and I didn't get the chance o introduce myself... I hope I see him again.
Daniel's POV
I totally forgot that Sun Run was held today. I rushed out of my house and headed towards the Canada Line. Since I was so busy thinking about how mad my coach will be I didn't even notice that there was a girl infront of me.
"Ouch" She said.
"Miss I'm sorry I didn't see you." I helped her out.
"Don't worry about it. It's a very busy day here in downtown vancouver and I can see that you're in a rush." She smiled at me. I think this is what they call love at first sight because I just looked at her. Her eyes are somewhat hynotizing. The way she talks is like music to my ears.
Since I'm getting off track I need to asked her what time it is..
"Yeah. Do you know what time it is by any chance?" I asked.
