"stop you nasty pack of mongrals! what do you think you are doing?! can't you see they have had enough? shoo! back off, or i'll beat you with the ibhande elingcwele again!"
(translation: holy belt)
the ghost ran, or should i say floated, away from me, and i turned to face the two children they were taunting.
"aw fuck. are you two alright?"
they looked at me with blank stares, almost scared looking. i looked down at myself, frowning as i realized i hadn't changed out of the disguise. i quickly brushed the mud off my pale see-through arms, as it had dried and took off my mask.
"sorry about that. they wont leave if i look like myself."
at this they calmed, knowing i was not as violent as i looked. "thank you." i gave them a smile, but my ghostly frown lines made it look like a grimace instead."it's ok. mind if i join your team of two?"
the smaller of the two looked up at me questioningly. "like... the three musketers or something?"
"sure! ...what's that?"
they went to answer but the larger one broke in. "not happening bitch! we don't know you! we know nothing about you! just because you helped us, doesn't mean you can just tag along. you could be a spy! a traitor! we don't even know your name. go away. we don't need you." the smaller one looked confused and began whispering in their ear. then looked at me. their voice seemed shaky. "what is your name?"
"olivia."
the larger one stared at me. "ok OLIVIA. before you can join us you need to answer some questions.
"ok."
they motioned for me to follow them into the small bunker they had built. it was dark and they sat me down on the floor as best as they could, seeing that their hands went right through me. then the questions started.
