The only way I could master the Avatar state was to master all four elements but I haven't started firebending and no teacher really helped. I always thought firebending is always destruction and chaos until Vendetta spoke with a gentle voice.
"'Maybe there's a different way to learn after all each Grand assassin has trouble with one of the elements, Grand assassin Desmond had trouble with Airbending cause he was use to attack and discipline but in time he mastered it". They are 2ways people learnt to bend
1:the ability was giving to them by the Lion Turtles
2: The human learnt it from their original bending source.

Water = the whale sharks as he pointed to the ocean
Earth = The badgermoles and Fire =the dragons but the dragons were hunted and killed unless one is still alive or the people who learnt from there ".
