"OK. I'll leave then. My cab has arrived, it seems".

Jungkook stood up from the chair while checking his mobile.

"Thanks a lot for your kindness and support. I will come as soon as possible to return the favour. It was nice to meet you, Hobi."

He initiates the handshake.

Hoseok was stunned after hearing the nickname. After years, someone called him by that name, and He felt his heart getting heavier while responding to Jungkook's handshake.

They looked into each other's eyes and smiled. As Hoseok's mobile rings, both release their hands.

"It's from the hospital. Hello,"

"Am I talking to mr. Jung's son?".

"Yes. I'm Hoseok. His son. How is my dad? Hoseok asked worriedly.

"Mr.Hoseok, there's an emergency; we have transferred your dad to the ICU. I think you should come to the hospital right now."

"Ok. I will be there soon."
And he disconnected the call.

"Hobi, what happened.? Who was that?

"from the hospital. My dad is in ICU. I need to go to the hospital now. It's urgent."

Jungkook noticed that Hobie's hands were shaking while talking, and his cheeks were reddened due to the unexpected news.

"Look at me, Hobi; I will take you to the hospital now. Don't be stressed. Ok. You have to inform someone here that you need to leave for the hospital right now. Ok?"

Jungkook held Hobi's hand gently to calm him down. He felt the softness and coldness simultaneously in the brunette's palms. He looked at Hoseok's face again. He is indeed beautiful. He is so Angelic.

How could this person be so adorable even in a situation like this?

Hoseok nodded and ran to Jimin and Yoongi to inform them to look after the cafe as he had to go to the hospital because of his dad's poor health condition. Yoongi promised to handle the cafe and the Boss and let Hoseok go.

He came back to Jungkook, and both got into the taxi.

Jungkook sent a quick message to Jin, saying that one of his friends was having an emergency and he would be late to attend lunch. He knows his cousin, Jin, can handle every lousy situation wisely, especially with his mom.
Jungkook and Hoseok reached the hospital quickly and ran to the ICU area. They met the doctor who had been treating his father.

After introducing himself properly to the Doctor, the doctor explained every detail about Hoseok's dad's condition and the treatments to Jungkook, as Hoseok looked disturbed by the situation. JK also informed the hospital to submit all the updates and the bills to him and provide extra care to Hobie's father even though he knew that there was not much time left with the older man.

They stayed there for a while, and Junkook took Hobi to the Cafeteria and noticed Hobi was stressed out. He made him sit in the chair and returned with an ice americano.

"Here, please drink this Hobi; you look terrible. "

"Don't worry. We will do our best to cure your Dad. But for that, you need to be stronger than before. Ok."

Hoseok nodded and started to sip the coffee. He held his head low for a long time.

"Why everyone wants to leave me? Mom also left me. Then Tae, now dad?

"Oh, I'm sorry, Hobi, I didn't know that you don't have your Mom. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your mom?"

She died when I was in college. After her death, I dropped out of college and started to work as my father became ill. "

"Again, I'm sorry, Hobi.  Let's try to cure your dad. We will discuss this later. Ok. Now, let's go home. I will drop you at your place. You don't have to go back to your cafe today. If you want, I can stay with you until you feel better."

Jungkook wanted to ask who is Tae, but he decided to talk about his past later.

"We just met today, and you did so much for me in a day. I don't intend to take advantage of your kindness, kookie." Hoseok replied to him honestly.

"I agree that we met only today, and it's not even 24 hours; we barely know each other.
You started this, Hobi. You offered me a coffee and shelter when I was in trouble. Now, let me pay you back for your kindness."

"I didn't expect anything in return, Kookie. I just acted like a human. That's it."

"But you are an Angel, Hobi."

Jungkook thought.

"Then let me be a human, too. Hobi."
