We did this every year. North, also mildly known as Santa Clause, delivered gifts to children all around the world, on Christmas. The Easter Bunny, notoriously known as Bunny Mind delivered unhatched eggs to children all around the world every Easter. The tooth fairy whose friends would call her Tooth if she had any, would go every night to children with broken tooth, collect their tooth and put a bag of worms under their pillows in exchange. Sandy, commonly known for his speechlessness and all around called the Sand Man, creeped into every child's home every night to collect their dreams and give them nightmares. And Jack, who created the worst of winter storms.
Admit it, if that was who we were, we'd be to total creepsters. North is not just mildly known. He is famously known. I mean that guy get's around. And he doesn't give gifts to children all over the world, just to children who've been nice (he's very strict about the naughty and nice list), and also only to children who believe in him, not because he only acknowledges children who believe in him, but because he can't force kids who don't believe in him to believe in him by piling them with gifts. That won't be the Christmas spirit, that'd be bribery
My buddy, Bunny Mind, isn't notoriously known, I think. He's generally a good person (well Bunny). And he doesn't deliver unhatched egg. If he did, every kid would get little chickens, instead of candy for Easter.
Tooth and her tiny tooth friends were at work every night collecting teeth from under the beds of children and in return not giving them a bag of worms, but a silver coin.
Sandy, my best friend, didn't creep into children's rooms, he was summoned by bad dreams. He gave them good and happy dreans, not nightmares, that's Boogeyman, notoriously known as Pitch's, job.
And me, Jack Frost. I am not the bringer of the worst winter storms. I am mostly known as the joker, mostly because I play jokes on every one. Whether old, young, thin, fat, ugly or pretty, I don't care because the spirit of youth or the feeling of being young again without a care in the world is in everyone. But I do bring winter, because without winter, there'd be no snow to make snowmen, snowangels, skiing, and the best of all no snow days. Because of what we did to help human kind we became THE GUARDIANS.This year, however, was different. I was roaming as usual, trying to find people to play tricks on, trying to find glum people that I could cheer, when I stumbled in a small cool town already snowing. The rivers were frozen over ,the clouds were a cloudless greyish blue, that wasn't like any I had ever seen. Even though this town was cold, everyone seemed happy It was more than that though, no one was wining about the obscenely cold weather, which was what always accompanied with the coming of winter, everyone seemed happy and utterly content.
I was about to leave thinking that my work there was done, when I remembered that I had done absolutely nothing. I had not brought winter,I hadn't cheered anyone up, and to top it all, I hadn't played a single joke on anyone. I had to admit, I was jealous. I was jealous that another person could bring winter and cheer people up. I was jealous that I wasn't the only special or one of a kind of a person out there.
I was also angry. Because not only could this mysterious person do what I could do, he or she did it better. The snowflakes that were falling all had different shapes and sizes. Some were complicated, others were simple. To have called it a beautiful sight would have been insulting. The sight was exquisite and glamorous, with a certain friendly atmosphere.
One thing was clear. I had to find our who did this, and fast.
