"Hi, my name is Y/N! Right now, I'm stuck in a forest with my bestie MC. Don't tell anyone, but we are on a mission.... Seriously, don't tell anyone!
Anyways, this is my side of the story as a side character and how even I could get a happy ending!

"I have a date today after work."
"Nice? Who's the lucky guy?"
"HEY, MC, I can hear that sarcasm in your voice! I don't know the dude, just that his name is Trevor, and he's kinda handsome. And he's very lucky to go on a date with me."
"I'm sure he is. Hahaha"
I hit MC shoulder playfully as we both laughed. Suddenly, we heard a loud roaring. I guess that's our suspect we've been looking for.
"Last one gets to pay for next arcade date!"
With that, I just started to sprint to the direction where the sound came from. MC yelled behind my back and chased right after me.
After a good sprint through the forest, I finally saw what we were up against. And let me just say that thing was huge and...ugly.
MC, right by my side, we both charged right at the wanderer. Using my evol, I shot a massive, blue fireball at the monster hitting it right in the head, making it stumble. MC used the opportunity to hit some powerful blows at the wanderer.
After an intense fight, we sensed that the monster was about to collapse. Looking at each other, we nodded and used our "special technique" to finish the monster off.
Collapsing on the ground and catching my breath, I looked at the MC. Both of us are smiling like some idiots.
"You... know.. good job!"
"Yeah.. you too. Did you get it?"
I stretched my hand up, showing her the wanderes protocore. This is why we were here. This beautiful but strangely looking protocore. I have never laid my eyes at something this strangely beautiful, it's shining purple with red.
As we were catching our breath, suddenly something heavy could be heard. Just as I was to look behind me, I went flying in the tree, hitting my back pretty hard. Lending on some branches scrapping my left cheek in process.
"Y/N!"
That was MCs voice! I looked up, seeing another wanderer fighting with MC. Fuck I need to get up and help her.
With loud groan I managed to get up, using my evol to make a burning ring around the monster so it would be easier for MC to fight it off. Roaring could be heard as the wanderer went in contact with fire.
"Y/N the protocore! Is it with you?"
It wasn't that was clear. I looked around me, but didn't see it. Fuck its glowing like a star how could it just disappear!
"I'm looking! I lost it after flying in the tree! Can you hold it off ?"
"Yes, just find the protocore!"
Like a maniac I looked around until my eyes spot the shining protocore. I limped after it. Shit I hurt my leg too!
Just as I was going to reach after it MCs voice could be heard.
"Y/N LOOK OUT!"
Just as I looked her way I saw the wanderer running up to me. I tried to reach for thr protocore, the wanderer almost stepped on my hand and protocore just missing few centimetres. I took out my gun shooting at the monster as I grabbed the protocore, securing it close to my chest.
Suddenly the wanderer collapsed as MC made the final blow. Looking at her I saw her panicked face. She approached me with shaking hands.
"Your bleeding! Head, cheek, leg! Gosh I should call the backup. Sit down!"
I just smiled at her, feeling the blood run down my cheek. I held my bloody hand out giving her the protocore.
"Don't worry about it now! Please sit down!"
I turned my head to find a spot to sit at when suddenly my vision became blurry and everything went black.
"Y/N! Y/N! CAN YOU HEAR ME!"
