It was 1989 and Slash was at a little café with his best bud, Duff Mckagan. Duff said that a childhood friend of his called Rayshel, was coming down from Washington to see him. Of course since Slash was Duff's best-friend, he'd want for Slash to tag along with him.

Slash agreed as long as he got a drink while they were out. Rayshel never was quaint to the wild Rock N' Roll life so they came to an agreement on the terms of going to a café that served alcoholic caffeine beverages. Slash had no idea what the girl would be like. Nevertheless, he'd be sweet as he usually was. And this girl seemed very close to Duff. Slash had heard of her very vaguely from Duff, but when he spoke about her, Slash always got a damn earful.

When the girl's flight landed, she was at her terminal waiting to be picked up by that scrawny mass of blonde hair she liked to call her best-friend. She was hearing hoots and hollers, seeing families, couples, and friends reuniting making her smile gently. She always loved airports, the twinge of pain you get when leaving. Then the rush happiness you feel when you see the ones you adore most waiting for you. Duff's cherry red convertible Cadillac pulled up beside Rayshel, he wolf whistled lowly pushing his shades down the bridge of his nose. He smirked at her as she turned around about to give this creep a piece of mind until she saw the same smirk she always seen throughout her childhood. "Hey foxy lady, how about you come with me?" Duff joked playfully and the fiery girl rolled her chestnut eyes, giggling softly at the silliness of the lanky boy in front of her.

"Yeah right. I'm waiting for my friend, he's a rockstar and he'll kick your ass. So buzz off creep." She bit back at the blonde man making him chuckle as he parked his car and stepped out, stretching dramatically. He grinned slumping his shoulders as he dropped his long arms at his side. He took long strides over to her and within only about four steps he was now towering over her, he engulfed her in a bone crushing hug. Lifting her toes from the ground making her squeal in surprise but still hugged him back as tightly as she could. For someone so scrawny, that guy was strong. He set her back down on the ground grabbing her suitcase and duffel bag from her grasp, a scowl on his lips before it morphed into a childish grin. "I'll be taking those, m'lady." He offered her a terribly posh, British accent as he put the bags in his trunk. This made the guitarist in the passenger seat of the bright red vehicle chuckle to himself quietly.

"Rayshel, I have somebody that I'd like for you to meet." Duff instructed gesturing to the deliciously caramel man in the passenger seat looking right at her with his signature smirk. "Slash, nice to meet you, little lady." The smirking man introduced and the girl raised an eyebrow at the nickname but shrugged it off, smiling sweetly at the man. "Nice to meet you, Slash. I'm not gonna introduce my fuckin' self because Duff has already said my name but, yeah. You get the point." She spoke gently. Slash's ears perked up at her tone. Most women that Duff knew were loud and rowdy, that wasn't always good though. He smiled appreciatively at her. Duff cleared his throat eyeing the two suspiciously before opening the backseat door for Rayshel. She rolled her eyes at the chivalrous action but smiled thankfully at the tall man. She climbed over the side of the car and sat down in the middle seat. "Or you could do that, that works too." Duff shrugged getting in his seat and then they were off.

Slash didn't know what it was but the polite but mischievous demeanor the girl carried like a damn shield was captivating. She was a fresh breath of air compared to all of the wild ass women he had come into contact with over the years. Duff and Rayshel started up a conversation about how everything had been going on from their personal sides of the globe, with Slash joining in comfortably, easily being welcomed into the conversation. The girl was so easy to talk to, Slash really liked her so far.
