This is a snippet from a book I am currently writing where the main character writes poetry occasionally throughout the book. Enjoy!

You and I are dissonance
But that's not how it began
Was how we met just a coincidence
It's a lie, loving who I am

You used to call me your princess
From the very raw beginning
Asked me to wear my dress
And together we would sing

I'm like every other girl
But at the start I was special
Now you don't like natural curls
And you define a devil

But just like you left me in scraps
You won't wast my time
This is the end, and we shall wrap
I only wrote this for the rhyme
