Glee: Rise & Shine (English Version)

1. A new beginning

If you had told Marley Rose six months ago that she would be leaving McKinley High, she would have laughed it off. But this is how it finally happened: Unfortunately, the New Directions had only achieved second place at this year's Nationals and since the nasty Cheerios coach Sue Sylvester was now the director, she quickly kicked all the Glee Club members out of school. Her mother Millie took this as an opportunity to leave Ohio and move to McMinnville, Oregon. There she would attend Aniston High School and today was the first day of the new school year. Now she was in high school and of course she hoped that things would turn out well. Marley had just picked out her timetable from the office and went to her class room. She was busy memorizing the schedule so she didn't notice that she wasn't the only one trying to get through the classroom door. So Marley's timetable and her book ended up on the floor as she slammed into the girl who was also trying to get in. Marley stumbled a bit and when she noticed the girl, she immediately apologized "Oh God, i'm sorry! Did something happen to you?". The other girl said "It's not that bad. Nothing happened". Now Marley smiled with relief and said "I'm glad. I'm new here and today is my first day, so i'm a bit disoriented. My name is Marley". "I'm Catherine. I'm new here too, so we can embarrass ourselves together if we go in there" she said and so the two girls went into the classroom and sat next to each other. When the teacher entered the room the typical pattern took place: Welcome to the new school year, how were the students' holidays and whether the new ones would be looking forward to a great school year. Marley let the greeting go by, answeared the basic questions about herself and listened to the teacher. When the first period of school was over, Marley and Catherine went to the cafeteria, where they sat down and started talking. "How come I haven't met you before? McMinnville isn't exactly big and everyone here pretty much knows everyone else. I've joined you now because I've come back here from my mom in Iowa to stay with my dad. I grew up here before my parents divorced". Wow, she's open to new people, Marley thought and admitted "I used to live in Ohio and then moved here with my mom. I was in glee club and had the time of my life there. There, after many difficulties, i was able to just be who i am. Only the Glee Club lost an important competition and so all members were expelled from school. We both just needed a fresh start after that, so we moved here to Oregon. And I've already decided to sign up for the Glee Club here too". Catherine looked at them and said they shouldn't waste any time...
