'[last name], a girl who is almost deemed perfect. she's your typical charismatic and well-balanced girl. she's smart, humourous, charismatic, and everyone's favourite pilates princess. but just like her fellow peers, she has many regrets. one of them being, not being able to play a sport. from a young age, she's never been introduced to the sports world nor had any extracurriculars involving athletics. despite this, her older brother was quite the opposite. he played football and was quite good at it. '

as [name] wrote an autobiography in her journal instead of focusing on the current history lesson, she snapped herself out of her writing trance, interrupting herself. perhaps she could involve herself in sports without actually playing it.

aha!

as she thought of her last-minute idea, the bell rang, dismissing the students. the girl quickly closed her journal and took her pen, rushing through the halls, and apologizing to the students she accidentally pushed and bumped into. she then reached the school news bulletin board, her eyes scanning every paper, looking for the athletic council sign-up sheet. her eyes finally spotted it, writing down her name and her homeroom class, before heading off to her next class. she now has to worry about her application.

'why are you a good fit for the athletic council? explain and provide examples.'

the question repeated over and over again in her head,

"huh..why am i good fit?", the girl softly mumbled to herself as she walked to her next class, physics.

[name] sat down on her seat, whipping out her macbook, opening a new doc. She started pretending to make notes, while in reality she was writing her athletic council application.

[name's] mind went blank, completely. She had no prior experience in athletics, pilates being the only exception.

whenever she read the question, it stung. the bitter feeling of regret washing over her, the regret in which she never got to feel the joy of playing a sport. for the first time, she truly felt imperfect.

luckily, applications were due in january, perfect. that meant she had three months to prove herself worthy of the athletic council, they also had a two-week break from december to january, which was perfect. the girl then changed the doc name from 'athletic council application' to 'silly plan!!'.

[name's] fingers started typing on the keyboard, as she brainstormed her ideas.

plan a: learn a sport, learn the basics + a few tricks to whip out in matches.

plan b: learn the rules of a sport, analyze the matches, start making team formations for 'fun', and become a part-time assistant coach.

plan c: focus on the philosophical and psychological aspects of sports, and start a 'passion project'.

now all that was left was to list out the pros and cons. [name] had no idea if her last-minute plan would work, but it felt right.
