Caramel tilted her wings and looked up at the bright sunny sky. It was unbearably sunny, as always, and the light beat down on her skin making it itch. She didn't like the sun very much, as it got in her eyes, and made her feathers itch. She couldn't understand why the version of the afterlife that was supposedly the happiest had to be right next to the giant fire that was the sun. She would much rather be doing her seraphim duties than sitting out in this sunlight, but Adam had insisted upon "rest and relaxation" whatever that was supposed to mean. She didn't like Adam very much, he was constantly sleeping around and had the nastiest attitude problem Caramel had ever seen. He also seemed to be hiding something. Caramel didn't know much about the upper workings of heaven, but she could tell when someone had secrets, and Adam had secrets. She could smell it

Caramel looked around at the beach in frustration. What was she doing here? surely there was better things she could be doing. She could be reading or researching new weaponry for heaven's arsenal. She was a little confused as to why they needed an arsenal. Wasn't heaven a peaceful place? She never really questioned it though. If Adam said they needed weapons she would provide them. It gave her something to do outside of seraphim duties in heaven's court. She twitched her wings gently and sidled over to Emily. Emily was a lot more tolerable than some of the other court members. She was never rude to anyone and her duties involved bringing joy to those who came to heaven. Even now she was absolutely beaming at Caramel as if she was the best thing to happen to her. "look how amazing it is outside!" exclaimed Emily as Caramel sat down next to her. "Yeah almost makes me not want to work" Caramel said with a sigh "I just hope Adam doesn't come over here right now, I can't stand his stupid face, and I'm not feeling very good". "Adam isn't that bad once you get to know him" said Emily "I mean sure he acts like he's the most important person to ever live, but once you get past that he's pretty entertaining and a great singer" Caramel sighed. Emily always insisted on seeing the best in everyone. It was one of her best qualities. She put a gentle hand on Emily's shoulder, and together they got back to their beach day. Caramel quite enjoyed spending time with Emily despite the hot sun beating down on her.

Caramel wiped the cloth across the brand new, expertly crafted angelic rifle she had just created. The gun was red with streaks of white running across it. In neat handwriting across the side of the weapon were the words "caramel crafted blessing tipped rifle" in golden lettering. She stood for a second admiring her handiwork. guns were a speciality of hers. She didn't think they were entirely necessary for whatever the exorcists needed them for, but she still enjoyed crafting them. She took the gun on to testing, hitting the target perfectly, and proceeding to place the rifle on the desk next to a spear and a knife she had recently created. Emily came into the room, as she often did when she had time, and poked the weapons lightly running her fingers along the tip of a blade. A thin line of golden blood trailed out of the finger where it touched the blade. "what do you even use these for" asked Emily with a bewildered expression. Caramel couldn't answer that question because she didn't know. "I don't know maybe they're hunting hell beasts or something" she knew there were wild animals with different magical properties in hell, but why would angels need more magic than they already had? "oh that makes sense" Emily's eyes slid back to the blade in her hand and she studied the sticky golden substance dripping from her fingertips. "Does Sera know angels can bleed?" she asked quietly. "I think she knows everything about angels" Caramel answered. Sera seemed way too powerful to be a fellow seraphim. She seemed to know everything about everyone and seemed to know about caramels feelings towards Emily, but Caramel didn't know if she felt positive or negative towards the idea of them being together.

Caramel thought Emily was perfect. The way she acted towards others, her empathy towards mortal souls, her hatred of suffering, her little smile whenever she talked about something that excited her. That smile. It lit up her day like the sun never could, it made her rainy days seem brighter than ever. And those eyes, A lovely shade of deep lavender that could see right into the soul of everyone she came across. Those eyes that studied the blade of an exorcist as blood ran through her fingertips and onto the floor. Those eyes that should stay safe from all harm. She looked beautiful with all her being. Her face always brightened up Caramel's day way better than any sunshine ever could. "Emily I need to tell you somet-" The door burst open and lieutenant Lute burst in "Holy shit Emily why are you playing with an exorcists blade Sera is going to kill us" Emily placed the knife down, and Caramel looked away blushing furiously. Stupid Lute getting in the way of literally everything. She couldn't understand why the exorcist was even allowed into the courtroom. she understood Adam being the first human soul being allowed in. Lute however was just a normal exorcist with no power. She was always putting her nose in where it didn't belong. "sorry Caramel we can talk later" Emily said cheerily leaving the room with a wave. "LUTE WHY ARE YOU INTERRUPTING EVERYONE'S PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS AGAIn" Caramel yelled furiously turning even redder than before. Lute just shrugged as if this was a normal part of her day "Came to inspect the weapons" she stated "how have you been progressing?" Caramel thrust the newly polished gun angrily into Lute's arms. Lute ran her fingers across the weapon admiring it. She studied the golden lettering "You're the best arsenal supplier we have" stated Lute "excellent work can you make a few hundred more?" Caramel nodded although she still didn't understand why they would need so many.
