"PUT US IN A ROOM TOGETHER AND I'LL FUCKING KILL HER.""That'd be interesting to see, but unfortunately we must keep our best behavior, Teresa." Hannibal Lecter smiled at his guest. "And we'll make sure she won't entice your instincts, right Will?" He turned to his friend, who nodded with a pessimistic look on his face.
The therapist had a wonderful idea to bring that uncommon group together, Will, Teresa, Abigail Hobbs, and the infamous Freddie Lounds. In his conception, making amends with the journalist would not only clean Teresa's image in both the FBI and TattleCrime.com, but also increase her chances of returning to her job quicker. But Teresa didn't enjoy the idea of sitting across that redheaded on Hannibal's dining room, whenever they mentioned that woman's name, she wanted to scream.
"Abigail will be happy." Hannibal attempted to convince her. "Happy that you are attempting to understand her perspective, maybe we can still change her opinion on the book with a less direct and friendlier approach."
Will gazed at the doctor with a hint of conspiracy on them, it hadn't been long since he discovered Abigail Hobbs had killed Nicholas Boyle and received the therapist's help to hide the body. But now Jack had his suspicions, and although he wanted to protect the girl, he couldn't help but feel guilty about lying to Teresa about the subject. She had discovered the news through Beverly when the body was found, but of course, did not think that the girl could've done such a gruesome crime.
And there they were, all gathered with hidden truths and Hannibal's cooking smell filling the room. Teresa's black dress embraced each curve of her body in the most adequate way possible, it was an impossible challenge not to observe her figure, and she may have caught her best mentally ill agent staring at her a few times while Hannibal finished cooking dinner.
"I am quite excited." The doctor said with a sweet smile. "It's the first time I've actually managed to bring you two, my friends, to have dinner at my home."
"That would be great if we didn't have the Lounds issue." Teresa crossed her arms, relying on a nearby wall to hide her temper. "She better not speak to me."
"If you're going to make amends, one way or another you'll speak eventually." Will was honest and that made Teresa groan. "Come on, just one evening, you can do it."
"I know I have problems with my anger, but I don't want to fucking apologize to her." Teresa furrowed her eyebrows. "I don't regret it one bit, if I could, that bitch would be bald by now. Hannibal suppressed a laugh.
But the cooking was done, Hannibal served the dishes carefully, in ornamental ways that expressed elegance before picking up the door, where Abigail and Freddie stood outside, ready for the event.
"Hey." Will touched Teresa's arm, his honey-like tone made her sigh. "It'll be quick, you can do it." She shook her head. "We all know she's the wrong one here. We just need to do it for your job, for Abigail." He caressed her skin. "Do you care about her?"
"Of course I do." She looked at him uneasily.
"Then you'll be able to do it." He kissed her cheek, the warmth of his lips leaving a mark on her heart.
Will Graham was staring deep into her doll-like eyes when someone cleared their throat behind them? "They have arrived," Hannibal said, aware that he was interrupting the moment. Teresa's cheeks burned to the realization but she did not speak or justify, only joined them, that would be a long night.
...
Abigail Hobbs had much to say but instead remained quiet, attentive to her friend who she hadn't seen for so long, at this point Teresa was practically a sister to her and it hurt to be on those bad terms with her due to her decision.
