Taeyeon strolls through the aisles of the grocery store, her basket in hand, on a quest for the essentials of her daily life. The fluorescent lights hum above her, casting a sterile glow over the neatly arranged shelves.

As she rounds the corner, she spots the cereal section, her eyes scanning the colorful boxes lining the shelves. She reaches for her favorite brand, her fingers grazing the familiar packaging.

Suddenly, her gaze shifts, and she notices something out of the corner of her eye.

Nestled among the other snacks, she sees Baekhyun's favorite treat, the one he used to ask her to pick up every time they went grocery shopping together.

A bittersweet pang tugs at her heart as memories flood back.

She remembers the way he would grin and say, "Don't forget my favorite snack, Taeyeon."

It was a simple ritual, a small gesture of their shared life.

With a faint smile playing on her lips, she reaches for the pack of snacks. Holding it in her hands, she feels the weight of nostalgia wash over her.

For a moment, she allows herself to linger in the memories of their time together, the laughter, the shared moments, and the warmth of their affection.

But then reality sets in, and she remembers that he's no longer a part of her life. They've moved on, chosen separate paths, and the echoes of their past are just that — fading echoes in the corridors of memory.

Still, as she stands in the grocery store aisle, holding his favorite snack in her hands, she can't help but feel a twinge of longing.

A part of her misses the familiarity, the comfort of their shared routines, and the simple joy of knowing each other's likes and dislikes.

With a sigh, she places the pack of snacks in her basket, a silent tribute to the love they once shared. It's not about holding on to the past or dwelling on what could have been. It's about honoring the memories, cherishing the moments, and finding solace in the sweetness of nostalgia.

After finishes up paying, Taeyeon steps out of the grocery store, her mind preoccupied with the items on her shopping list. Double-checking the list in case she missed something.

Balancing the bags in her arms, she strides forward, lost in thought. Suddenly, she collides with someone, her head hitting a firm shoulder with a soft thud.

"I'm sorry," she mumbles, looking up to see Baekhyun standing in front of her, his eyes widening in surprise.

Baekhyun's gaze meets hers, and for a moment, they both freeze, memories flooding back to them.

It's been so long since they last spoke, their conversations fading into distant echoes of the past.

"It's okay," Baekhyun replies, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Long time no see, Taeyeon."

"Yeah, it has been," she responds softly, her voice tinged with nostalgia.

The air between them feels heavy with unspoken words and unresolved emotions.

As they stand there, awkwardness hanging in the air like a heavy curtain, Taeyeon's plastic bags suddenly give way, groceries spilling onto the pavement in a chaotic mess.

"God greek," she exclaims, scrambling to gather the scattered items, embarrassment flushing her cheeks.

Baekhyun bends down to help, his movements gentle as he reaches for the fallen groceries.

Together, they gather the strewn vegetables and canned goods, their fingers brushing against each other in fleeting touches.

"Let me help you with that," Baekhyun offers, his voice warm and sincere.

Taeyeon hesitates for a moment, torn between pride and gratitude. In the end, she nods, a small smile gracing her lips as she accepts his help.

"Thank you," she murmurs.

With Baekhyun's assistance, they manage to gather the groceries and transfer them into sturdier bags. As they stand up, Taeyeon realizes just how close they are, their faces mere inches apart.

Their eyes meet, and in that fleeting moment, the barriers between them seem to fade away, leaving only the raw honesty of their shared history.

"Let me help you carry these up to your place," Baekhyun offers, his voice soft yet determined.

Taeyeon hesitates, her heart pounding in her chest. It's been so long since they last spoke, so long since they shared a moment like this.

"It's okay," she whispers, "I can manage it alone."

Baekhyun's expression flickers with disappointment, but he nods, a forced smile playing on his lips.

"Alright then," he says, his voice tinged with resignation.

"I shall head back, I have practice tonight," Baekhyun informs. Not even him knows why would he said that, not that it matters to Taeyeon anymore.

"Okay," Taeyeon murmurs with a faint smile, "Good luck."

With a heavy heart, Taeyeon watches as Baekhyun takes a step back.

As she gathers the remaining groceries, a pang of longing grips her chest, reminding her of what once was and what could have been.

Baekhyun paces to his car, and a loud sigh are heaved soon as he sits in the driver seat.

Why is it so different now?
