📍: Montclair, New JerseyAnother day in Montclair, New Jersey. Mckenzie never really thought of it as "home", She often had trouble with adjusting to new places. From past experiences her and her father were moving around more than usual but she questioned it because if she did it wouldn't be end pretty. It seemed like she everywhere she went she was on the run, They could never settle down with someone, keep the friends they make, or promise that they will be here next week because they wouldn't be able to hold their end of that promise.
On The Run, Is what I should of named this book but I decided to do something else, make it more interesting. So I genuinely hope you like it but if not oh well ~ big don aka her favorite author

Mckenzie was unfortunately the youngest but it came to her advantage's at times, but her siblings always considered her lucky because she didn't have to deal with their mother's constant drinking or their her sense of rage after she became conscious from passing out after her hard drinking at nights. It wasn't healthy for nobody in that household to acknowledge at such young age.
"Lucky" Is what they called her ever since a kid, But it truly never came into realization of her ever truly feeling lucky, Mckenzie still had a whole other parent unlike her other siblings that only Mckenzie had to put up with since her mother ended her life early because of him..
Her father Mckinley, wasn't the best and definitely didn't deserve father of the year award, everybody praised him and they never saw him being in the wrong, But nobody saw what happened behind closed door's they never did.. He constantly was gaslighting her and belittling her often and she always felt like she was walking on eggshells around him. And it always made her think, but she could see why her mother ended her chapter so early leaving behind Mckenzie and her two other sisters everybody thought their mother was selfish for killing herself but in her eyes she was her personal hero.
Dealing with him was the absolute worst, she felt like she didn't have any freedom. He always ignored her needs and only thought of himself and not his own blood daughter. But again, nobody even wanted to attempt to look behind the closed doors. Only If They Knew, it would have made a huge difference and might of saved her.
He wanted to control her life and always deciding the choices that were given to her. All of his toxicity ways always made it very challenging for Mckenzie to continue to live with him, eventually she made a plan and she never knew it would change her life for the better or worse. Truthfully, she just wanted her dad to understand her and care for her and treat her as human as his daughter but he failed to do so and Mckenzie failed to love him day by day, the love she soon had for her father was fading away, Only person left that she felt that she could truly count on was her grandmother, Ms. Julie Ann.
