A few creatures surrounded an unconscious male as they were curious about how he got there. The cat looks at the lamb and the chicken meowing a bit. "Looks like another human has landed on our island. Do you think he's dead?" The lamb made a noise looking at the cat. "I hope not because I don't want to have to drag him over to the Relaxasaurus we feed occasionally." The chicken pecked the ground before looking at the lamb and cat. "He's alive, Cativa and Lamball. I can see his chest moving up and down." The male woke up slowly after hearing some voices having a conversation near him he attempted to open his eyes while sitting up and feeling his surroundings. "Where am I? Is someone there?" Cativa, Lamball, and the chicken began to run away as Lamball realized that something was wrong with the young male who had just woken up. "I think something is wrong with him Cativa and Chickipi. Normally, anyone who washes up here would have grabbed the mysterious tablet already and tried to chase us down. Do you think his eyesight might have been damaged when he washed up here?" Cativa turned around and sighed, looking back at Lamball. "It could have happened, but what can we do about it? Do you want us to take him to that metal freak and see if they can help him?" Lamball nodded, waddling over to the young male and grabbing his arm. "Hey there, mister. I'm going to take you to a place where you can get help for what happened to you."
The young male was startled by the feeling of his arm suddenly being grabbed and just nodded, being guided by whoever was speaking to him. Chickipi and Cativa, with the mysterious tablet, followed Lamball and the male toward an abandoned church that had vines growing out of control on its walls. The male was a bit scared because all he could see was black everywhere he looked. "Where are we going, and who are you, mysterious stranger?" Lamball continued walking him inside the church, looking around the inside of the church. "My name is Lamball, and I'm taking you to a mechanical genius who can help you with your eyesight problem. They should be able to make something for you so you can see where you are going, mister. Hey Valva, are you here? We need your help with something involving a human with damaged eyesight." The male nodded his head and attempted to touch Lamball. "My name is Zat, by the way. That's all I can remember for some reason." A mechanical Frankenstein creature walked out from the shadows in front of Lamball, scoffing a bit at them. "You better not be messing with me this time, you little fluffball. If you are, I'm going to fling you halfway across the island and hope that you land in a Direhowl den." Zat looked ahead and bowed at the new voice he heard. "They aren't messing with you, oh mighty mechanical genius. I can only see black everywhere I look." 'Valva' sighed, walking closer to Lamball and Zat as he scanned Zat's body for a health diagnosis. "Looks like the little one was correct about you, kid. I need your consent before I can help you with your issue. Did you bring the mysterious tablet, Lamball, or does the cat have it?" Cativa ran over and gave Valva the tablet before backing away quickly. Zat was a bit confused but nodded a bit, trying to find Valva. "I give you my consent, mister Valva. What exactly are you going to do to help me with my eyesight?"
Valva walked back over to Zat and knocked him out with his wrench hand before dragging him into the shadows to begin the operation. "I'm going to take out your eyes and convert your Paldeck tablet into a set of mechanical eyes so you can see properly. You three can wait outside while I work on the human." Lamball, Cativa, and Chickipi all went outside the church and sat around waiting for Valva to finish Zat's operation. Lamball looks at Cativa very concerned about Zat. "Did we make the right decision bringing him to Valva? You know Valva is a crazy pal who only recently showed up before Zat's appearance." Cativa sighed deeply before patting Lamball on the head. "Valva may be a crazy pal, but he's more trustworthy than most of the humans on this cursed island." Chickipi just sat there silently listening to them talk as they thought about something disturbing. "I have a feeling that Valva won't be the only pal that will suddenly appear with the arrival of Zat." Before Lamball could ask what Chickipi was talking about, Valva popped his head out of the door looking at them. "I'm done with the operation, and he should be waking up soon, you three. Also, I heard both of your conversations with your little furry pals, and I don't blame you two for being skeptical about my skills. I honestly have no memories of before waking up in this old church. I may act like a jerk to the both of you, but I do it because I want you two furballs to start acting more tough." Lamball, Cativa, and Chickipi all ran inside the church and surrounded Zat as he began to wake up and look at the three pals around him. Zat sat up and looked at Lamball, gently touching them before smiling. "Pleased to finally see you, Lamball. I want to thank you for helping me, Mister Valva." Valva laughed from the shadows before walking over to Zat, kneeling to him and presenting four blue orbs. "It was my honor to help someone in need. Now, use these spheres to capture me, 'The Mighty' Valvamech, Lamball, Cativa, and Chickipi, so we can help you survive this cursed island." Zat looked at the spheres before tapping each of them with a sphere, seeing them vanish inside of them and standing up to head outside. "Thanks for helping me, you four. Let's be partners forever."
Zat walked around trying to get used to his new eyes as Valvamech walked alongside him, teaching Zat how to use them properly. Zat stopped at a clearing and smiled softly. "This is the perfect spot for the village I want to create for pals and humans to coexist with each other." Valvamech stood by him, looking around the area a bit before nodding slightly. "Alright, Zat. I'm going to need you to use your eyes to unlock something for me so your village will be official. It's a machine called a Palbox. I have a theory about something involving the Palbox." Zat looked a bit confused but nodded, accessing his technology ability and unlocking the machine he needed for his village. "It's unlocked, Valvamech. What is this theory that you had about it anyway?" Valvamech began to build it being silent the whole time. Right as he had completed it, a little yawn could be heard from near the Palbox. Zat was extremely confused, looking around for any sign of who just yawned. "Who or what just yawned after the Palbox was completely built?" Valvamech walked by the Palbox and pointed at the ground, which had an average-sized tortoise sleeping under it. "That would be my theory. It's a living Palbox that doesn't have a name yet. Want to do the honors and give it a name Master Zat?" Zat sat thinking for a bit before noticing a small fortress that had appeared after the Palbox was built. "I think that I shall name it Tortress. I think it's the most appropriate name for them because of that fortress that spawned after it was born." Valvamech nodded, giving Tortress some head rubs before heading into the fortress to look around it. "Good choice master. I'm going to check inside the fortress to see if there is anything of use in it. If we're lucky, there might be sleeping arrangements inside for me, you, Lamball, Cativa, and Chickipi." Zat nodded as he looked at the Palbox's screen to see if he needed to build anything for his village. He brought Lamball, Cativa, and Chickipi out of their spheres to show them the beginning of their new home. All three of them began to run around doing stuff to build up the village. Valvamech stood on top of the fortress, watching Zat and the other pals with a serious look on his face. "Looks like my creator was correct about the island slowly getting new and undiscovered species of pals on it, including myself and Tortress. The question is how many undiscovered ones are there now that Zat has shown up here."
-Present Day-
Rosie closed the journal slowly as she sat on top of the fortress, looking down at the old church wondering why it was still there after she took the journal from inside. "I wonder if they're in that rundown church waiting for me to introduce myself." Meffopper looks at her a little confused before hopping away to go do some work around the village. Rosie headed down to the church and looked around the outside before heading inside. "Mister Valva? Are you still around here because of the promise you made to Zat? My name is Rosie, and I'm Zat's apprentice." A rustic creature walked out from the shadows attempting to bow down to her. "Y-Yes, I'm still here, young Miss Rosie. That's one reason for me still being here. Do you think you could help me out with something and fetch me an item from the chest that's by you, Rosie?" Rosie nodded and opened up the chest, pulling out a strange device that began to glow in her hands. She handed it to him as he began to glow slightly and revert to how he looked fifteen years ago. Valvamech walked by her and patted her on the head gently before knocking her unconscious. "I'm sorry for having to do this, but it was Zat's final request that I see if you have the same special gift as him."
