Mei POV
We walked farther and farther from the others as we made our way towards the campsite to bring Scaramouche to Doctor Baizhu. I felt bad for him... Not Baizhu, Scaramouche! No wait, I didn't mean it that way either!
Haaaahh, nervermind, I'm sure you understand what I mean. Asuka did push him down and I feel slightly guilty-...
I shouldn't have said that.... Well I'm sure it's okay! I mean, I can trust you with this secret!....
Right?
Maybe I should explain myself before making Asuka seem like a bad person any longer.
Alright, so basically, it started before we started our trip. While we were waiting for everyone to arrive at the meeting spot so that Monsieur Neuvillette can check our presence.
So basically, Asuka and I were the first to arrive, just as planned, because Asuka said that Monsieur Neuvillette would most likely ask the first people to be the ones to take care of the wounded ones if there were any on our trip.
As planned, Asuka was right and Monsieur Neuvillette asked the both of us if we could complete such a role. We both agreed and part one of Asuka's plan was completed.
And so, while on the trip, she noticed that Scaramouche seemed a bit distracted, so she took that perfect opportunity to slightly nudge him off the sides of the path. I would admit that this part of the plan wasn't really my favorite, not like I liked the whole plan she had made anyways...
All this, just so she could have a talk with Scaramouche...
Now, what she was planning to tell him was something I was unsure of...
"Scaramouche, do you like Y/n?" Asuka asked the boy we were helping walk. I was taken aback slightly by her confidence to ask that question so abruptly and without hesitation. She's really cool.
"Yeah. And?" Now this, I hadn't expected. I mean, I wasn't surprised that he said he did like Y/n, I mean, who wouldn't like such a hot- Oops, sorry, that slipped off my tongue...
"As expected. Are you planning to tell her?" She asked him as I slightly felt bad for Asuka since I know she liked Scaramouche, but I was also slightly relieved.
"...after what I just yelled at her, I highly doubt that I have a chance." He sighed to himself. You know, at first glance, you'd probably think he's a complete jerk, but once you get to know him, you'll also see a small hint of sadness and fragility in him. He's a nice guy. I know he is.
"You'd be surprised." I giggled as I pat his head and my eyes laid upon Asuka who was glaring at me. I mean, she has been kinda glaring at me ever since I wrapped Scaramouche's arm around my shoulder to support him, but like, she was doing the same thing. Why was she glaring at me?
GASP! NO WAY???!!!! DOES ASUKA LIKE ME????!!! NO WAY!!!!! I AM PLANNING OUR MARRIAGE RIGHT NOW 😍😍😍
I took my hand off of Scaramouche's head and smiled sheepishly at Asuka as she scoffed at me and rolled her eyes away.
"That was so mean of him!!! How could he say that to my poor baby!" Hu tao wrapped her arms around me, giving me a side hug, as she flatted my hair and rubbed my back like a protective mother as we walked down the path.
"I know right! He's a total bum! How could he be so mean to my Y/n!" Childe complained as well as he did the same thing as Hu tao and rested his head on top of my head.
"Guys, I'm fine." I tell them as I don't even try to get them off me.
"Yeah, she is, that totally turned her on."
"SHUT UP, VENTI!" I immediately bring my hands to my face in embarrassment as Venti and the others, my whole group of friends, laughed at my behavior.
"You're so cute when you're blushing like that Y/n~" Childe teased me as he unwrapped his arms around me and instead walked alongside me while smirking at me.
"He's right, you should be blushing because of me instead~" Hu tao whispered in my ear as she kept her arms tightly around me and placed her head back onto my shoulder.
My heated up even more as I felt like I was going to get a fever if they continued doing that.
"I think she had enough of your teasing. How about you give her a tiny break so she can calm down..." Heizou said as she pushed Childe away from my side and got Hu tao to unwrap herself from me and move away to.
As I thought that I was finally free, I felt arms wrap around my waist from behind me and a chin lay down on my shoulder near my ear as I could feel the breath of the person against it.
"...or I could be the one to tease you instead, I'm sure I could please you with my words much better than any of the others, don't you think, pretty girl~" He whispered into my ear in a very seductive voice that made me question how these people were even my friends. I basically melted from how much teasing I had to endure and I relaxed all my muscles as Heizou took one of his arms off my waist and instead bent down slightly to wrap his arm around both of my legs and picked me up bridal style.
At this point, I gave up trying to resist them and just let him carry me. I mean, who couldn't resist Heizou picking you up? It's Heizou, come on.
Hu tao and Childe pout as Venti chuckled at the scene.
I just lay in Heizou's arms as he seemed unbothered and actually happy to have me in his arms for him to carry. We just continued a few more minutes like this until I started to feel bad for his poor arms and asked him to put me back down so I could continue walking on my own.
I kinda felt bad cause I felt like I was kinda cheating on Scaramouche, but it's not like we're together anyways, so it was okay. Though of course, I love Scaramouche with all my heart.
