THIRD PERSON

Sneaking through the containment's walls seemed to be a lot easier said than done. Breaking through any part of the cage was never going to be an effortless task, but luckily, that wasn't their goal.

Both Zantai and Vince had made their presence known to the staff as they strolled along the south wall. The Greninja made it very obvious to everyone around him that he was feeling every indent in the steel border—a stunt similar to their last escape attempt.

This wouldn't go unnoticed, thankfully, but neither of them could ever tell if they were being watched. Sammy put her trust in them, and it was time to deliver.

"Well, Zants." Vince tapped his webbed hand against the wall with a cheeky grin. "I can definitely try somethin' new."

"Don't call me that." The Blaziken scoffed before scraping his talons against the steel. "What do you mean? Like you found another way out?"

"Yup..!" The Greninja chuckled before molding a water kunai into his hand. He traced the blade across a visible crack in the wall, chipping away at the weakened steel.

Zantai leaned forward to check what the frog was doing, and before he knew it, they could see inside.

"Every part of the wall is about three feet thick." Vince added before recalling the kunai. "Except right here."

"I can't see much of anything, though." The Blaziken frowned.

"Neither can I." The blue frog shrugged. "It's a gamble for me to jump in there."

"How the hell can you jump in there?" Zantai noted, pointing at the small gap in the wall; certainly small enough to not fit his talons in.

"Didn't you watch me slip through the furnace door?" Vince scoffed, almost offended at the question. "Anyway, there could be a room in there."

"Hey!" The two were quickly dragged off from their conversation to turn toward a Weavile calling.

"Huh?" Zantai hummed.

Laker was swiftly making his way closer before halting a few feet away from them.

"Sammy already left. She didn't even wait for me to help distract Sam, she just kind...walked through the door." The weasel frowned and scratched the side of his head. "I don't know if she got away with it yet."

"Well, if the girl got through then...maybe it worked?" Vince proudly crossed his arms.

"We didn't even do anything, though." Zantai frowned. "How are we sure that Sam doesn't know?"

"We aren't, that's the thing." Laker deeply exhaled. "I think Sammy had something on her mind before leaving, it made her rush to enter."

"So that means Sam could have easily noticed?" Zantai groaned.

"Arceus, could she not have waited just a little?" Vince crossed his arms.

The Weavile shrugged in response, causing everyone's gaze to focus on the north wall about a mile away from them.

They've known it for a while now, but the sheer size of the cage was nothing to scoff at. After extensive research from Grace, the group had come to a decent understanding that the parameters were about two miles long from both sides.

What would be the sky was lined with metal bars and plexiglass, the design akin to a heavily sealed bird cage. They could still see the sun—whether it was fake or not. Wind never blew either...at least not any natural wind.
